Resting in your Femininity as a Single Mom…

At least twice a month I feel overwhelmed by the
challenges that come with being a single mom,

feeling like everything starts and ends with me, feeling alone even when I’m surrounded by people
feeling guilty that I should be doing more
feeling like I’m behind in life
feeling sorry for myself

and Although I strive to be the Proverbs 31 woman, who’s graceful in all my responsibilities, I remind myself femininity doesn’t mean perfection

So I allow myself to feel the emotions, to take a break and detach without shaming or gaslighting
myself because…it’s normal


it’s normal to have a dip, to be stagnant, to be powerless because life has seasons

So I make a choice…
I choose softness over harshness
I choose fluidity over forcefulness
I choose stillness over bustle

Femininity is a choice…
The mindset and lifestyle that you choose every single day regardless of your circumstances or what card you have been dealt in life

Women assume that the key to success is knowledge, skill or experience

but some of the most talented people have not tapped into their potential or seen the level of success they desire because

beauty is what money is for men….currency

I got a comment from one of the ladies in the community asking me to share “lessons I learnt from my mother”

This was serendipitous because after my mom passed away, I started recalling all the things she’d tell me, even going as far as wondering “what would she say?” when I was in need of counsel

One of the things my mom would say is “you’ll miss me when I’m not here” and this hits the hardest as it’s a reminder of how I took her for granted when she was here.

She was a vessel of wisdom, light, grace, beauty, softness, nurturance - femininity

My mother was the most feminine woman I know, and she’s shaped the woman I am today, even from the heavens, I still hear her words so clearly

So the latest video on my channel is dedicated to my late mother - some of the lessons she taught me but I only took on board when she was no longer here

I’m allergic to hard work!

it is scientifically proven that women who hustle like men are more prone to stress, physical and mental health issues and excessive hair growth were women should not be growing hair.

women have a 28 day cycle whereas men have a 24 hour cycle, which means it takes us longer to recalibrate and reset compared to men

Society and working environments are built on a masculine structure which is why men thrive in it because they are built to constantly do, compete and work their way up the ladder.

Have you ever noticed how you have days where you just don’t have the energy to do anything, you can’t concentrate and your workflow is off and there’s days were you have bouts of energy and you’re so productive and do excited to get things done?

that’s because masculinity is about going whereas femininity is about being.

I created a feminine business where I could have a fluid routine, choose when I work and when I rest, be a present mom, have martinis on a random Tuesday and live an abundant life.
