Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake

**Chocolate Cake Ingredients**

* 1Β½ cups granulated sugar
* ΒΎ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
* 1Β½ tsp baking powder
* 1Β½ tsp baking soda
* 1 tsp salt
**Wet**
* 2 large eggs (room temperature)
* 1 cup buttermilk (or whole milk)
* Β½ cup vegetable oil
* 2 tsp vanilla extract
* 1 cup hot coffee (or hot water)

* 1 cup granulated sugar
* 6 tbsp unsalted butter (room temp)
* Β½ cup heavy cream (warm)
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
* 1 tsp flaky sea salt (adjust to taste)

* 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
* 3Β½ cups powdered sugar
* Β½ cup salted caramel sauce (cooled)
* 1β2 tbsp heavy cream (if needed)
* Pinch of sea salt

## **How to Make the Chocolate Cake**
1. Preheat oven to **350Β°F (175Β°C)**. Grease and line **two 8-inch round pans**.
2. Whisk all dry ingredients together.
3. Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
4. Slowly pour in hot coffee and mix (batter will be thin).
5. Divide batter evenly into pans.
6. Bake **30β35 minutes**, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
