I’m a 70s kid who became an 80s teen, raised in the French Quarter of New Orleans, with more stories than common sense and just enough trauma to make it funny. I’m a Katrina survivor, former mortician, stand-up comedian, artist, actress, karate instructor, cosmetologist, photographer, waitress, Girl Scouts membership specialist, and yes — I was once a fake wax figure in a wax museum whose entire job was jump-scaring strangers.

Around here, we react to music, memories, weird nostalgia, and whatever else makes me say, “Who raised y’all?” Other reactors ask what it was like growing up back in the day — I lived it, survived it, and apparently now I’m explaining it on the internet.
