My name is Samer Manaa, and I am writing to you from the Gaza Strip, specifically from Rafah, with a plea that weighs heavily on my heart.

Our lives turned upside down when the war broke out six months ago. On the second day of the war, my mom and I lost our home, as it got bombarded with thousands of other houses.

For the past six months, my mother and I have endured the horrors of a war that has torn our lives apart. Our once peaceful home has been destroyed, forcing us to flee from one city to another, seeking refuge from the relentless violence that surrounds us. The scarcity of food and the constant fear for our safety have become our harsh realities.

My mother, a retired UN school teacher who dedicated her life to educating and nurturing countless children, now finds herself in a situation she never imagined. As for myself, I am in my final year of studying computer engineering, a field I am passionate about despite the chaos that engulfs us. I had a scholarship as I was high-achieving in my studies, and I was also working while studying, teaching English and Turkish language in a language center every day after I finish my lessons at the university.

Despite the darkness that surrounds us, we have not lost faith in humanity. We believe in the inherent goodness of people, and we hold onto the hope that there are those who share our belief in the sanctity of life. It is with this belief that I reach out to you.

I am prepared to work diligently as a programmer. Unfortunately, there is no way I can work here, as almost every infrastructure is destroyed. Charging devices and accessing the internet is no easy task; I have to wait for hours every day in a queue to charge devices in a nearby school that is used as a refugee camp. All we ask for is the chance to rebuild our lives in a place of safety and security, where I can also work and support myself and my mother.

In closing, I am reminded of a profound truth echoed in holy and philosophical scriptures: "He who saves a life as if he saved all, and he who kills one as if he killed them all." These words resonate deeply with us, reinforcing our belief in the value of every human life.

I humbly implore you to consider our plea with compassion and empathy. May our shared commitment to humanity guide you, and may it lead us to a brighter tomorrow.

The amount of money I'm asking for is just for us to pay the border crossing so my mother and I can just be able to enter Egypt and from there to find a way to rebuild our lives.

They are demanding 5000 dollars per person, and I'm asking for 10000 dollars, so my mother and I can afford to buy our lives!

Thank you for considering our story and for any support you can provide. Your generosity will make a profound difference in our lives as we strive to rebuild and find hope once again.
