We were delighted to give the Japanese premiere of Dai Fujikura's BCMG Sound Investment commission 'Sho Concerto' in June this year, for our 'Awakening in Tokyo' concert conducted by Kazuki Yamada in Tokyo Opera City's charming Recital Hall.

'Sho Concerto' was written for sho soloist Yuki Deai whose virtuoso performance drew rapturous applause from an enthusiastic audience. The performance was sold out.

'Sho Concerto' was commissioned by Birmingham Contemporary Music Group with the support of Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation @EvSMusikstiftung Arts Council England ‪@artscouncilofengland‬ and individuals through BCMG’s Sound Investment scheme: www.bcmg.org.uk/soundinvestment
