The Red Army stormed the harbor of Kolguyev like an unstoppable force. Protected by BTR-70s, the soldiers advanced while a Mi-8 circled overhead like a vigilant eye. Every cover was overrun, every resistance crushed, the infantry moved as one, grenades exploded in perfect rhythm, and smoke engulfed the harbor in Soviet power.

Within hours, the harbor was retaken. No building went unsecured, no corner unchecked, the USSR flag waved triumphantly as the enemy fled in panic. Kolguyev had reclaimed its harbor and demonstrated the unmatched strength of the Red Army.

The Soviet GP-25 is a 40 mm under-barrel grenade launcher introduced in the 1970s for use with AK-series rifles. It fires caseless VOG-25 family grenades, mounts beneath the rifle barrel, and provides indirect fire out to roughly 400 m. The launcher uses single-shot, muzzle-loading operation with its trigger linked to the host weapon. It is issued to infantry units to add grenade-type firepower without a separate crew-served weapon.

Russian depression? No. In the Soviet era people had free access to education, guaranteed jobs and housing even for those with low incomes. Health care was universal and social support provided stability and security for all citizens. Life was about dignity and community rather than wealth.
