Welcome back to another Wednesday Update!

Alright! We have been keeping busy and creating some fun tutorials and survival playthroughs in Space Engineers 2, but it is time to get back into action with Space Engineers (original). I am hoping to get this new series started in SE1 which will likely flow into the Warfare 3 update. I haven't started recording yet, but have had it in mind for quite some time. So hopefully, the first episode will be out quite soon.

Channel Update:
So what have I been up to?

If you missed it, I went ahead and reviewed what we know so far about Warfare 3 update with all the teasers and information provided by Keen. Of course we brought out the fun screen drawing app and scribbled everywhere looking for new blocks. (https://youtu.be/tdg2VDMLz7U).

Pioneer Spacegeer is continuing his build guides and creating simple build that may end up just being over engineered! This week, PSG worked on a simple and not so simple crane for Grinding, Mining, and Welding. (https://youtu.be/i0xN2C6RPOE). We also have a fun one coming up on Thursday, which may be the very last episode of the Quick Start Survival series for now. Based on interest, it looks like most of you would prefer me to get back to Classic Survival with the Ultimate Mobile Base. Honestly, thought the opposite was going to happen, but I would be more than happy to focus on the Mobile Base for now. However, there is an interest in both, so I will definitely come back to ship building shortly, but you will also see why I am pausing this series.

Health Update:
More waiting of what is next to come. All the neurological symptoms persists, but I am finally off the treatment that may be causing more symptoms than treating. Currently, time will tell if it was the medication or I am still experiencing the side effects of the immunotherapy. Not much has changed so far, which makes me a bit concerned. Honestly, I just want to feel a bit normal soon.

Other than that, I am preparing for another surgery... Luckily, this is not related to the Cancer! It has been something that I needed to deal with for a while now. If all goes well, I may finally start Streaming and not sound too annoying with my coughing issues! So I hope that will be the case!

Happy Wednesday (Hump Day),

I hope everyone is having a wonderful midweek so far. No new updates for this week, but I wanted to know from you which series should I focus on? Quick Start Survival is a Contract and Ship Building based series and Classic Survival is Rover/Mobile Base traveling on Verdure. I have a ton of fun with both and can't decide which one to stay focused on.

I believe from what I can tell, ship building is much more popular than rover building. Let me know in the poll.

Welcome back Engineers to another Wednesday Weekly Update!

I did mention this last week, but let me know your thoughts on if I should launch a discord channel. It would be a bit tough for me to handle in my current state, but still would be nice if there is enough interest in joining. Make sure to hit the poll!

Channel Update:
We are continuing to upload weekly two times a week, on Sundays and Thursdays on this channel. I did change the upload time to 10am EST instead of 12pm. This will stay consistent at 10am as much as possible.

This week (starting Sunday) we had a fun Quick Start Survival start to see how this world or mode works. Kind of a mini test and a mini series. Health Update:
Not much has changed in terms of getting better... Been having a tough few days as I am coming off the treatment and symptoms seem to be getting worse. So there is a chance I may have to skip an upload here and there as it becomes hard to be on the computer due to the headaches, migraines, and light sensitivity. Still being hopefully, so we will continue to wait and see...

Hello Engineers! We are back with another Weekly Wednesday Update.

Channel Updates:
Thanks for all those who polled yes or no to the name change of the channel. Your feedback is important to help the channel grow. I was hoping to hear more feedback about things such as the quality of the content's audio, video, pace, etc. so that I can see what I need improvement on, but many of you had said it's fine which is completely great but it doesn't help me get better or grow as a content creator. Feel free to leave your feedback even if it is quite brutal. Don't worry, I can take it!

Some of you may have noticed this... For whatever reason I started a new persona, Pioneer Spacegeer! "Problems disappear when Pioneer Spacegeer is here! So I decided to experiment and give him his own channel instead of changing this channel name. So go support Pioneer Spacegeer at youtube.com/@PioneerSpacegeer.

The goal for this channel is to focus on Space Engineers 2 beginner guides and tutorials, unconventional builds (The PSG way), workshop build reviews, wacky adventures. How does this different from this channel? Mainly, Pandemic Playground will be doing Space Engineers 1 and 2 content including updates, previews, survival adventures, time-lapses, etc. Content will stay roughly the same and PSG will give you unconventional UNHINGED engineering in SE2. This persona may have been a result of my current neurological health issues and symptoms (more about this below).

Discord? I should probably set up a poll for this next week, but I have been thinking of setting up a discord. Unfortunately, I am one person with health issues so managing everything would be rough at the moment, but I still think it would be great to start it up to see how it goes. Let me know in the comments. A simple Yes will do.

Do you like these weekly updates? Or perhaps tune it down a bit, perhaps biweekly? I like doing these to update you all on what is going on channel wise and personal wise. It also helps me mentally to write stuff or type stuff out like a journal in my current state. It kinda like blogging in a sense, which can be fun thing to do.

Health Update:
I finalized all my tests and scans this week and so far so good. I will continue to celebrate 6 months cancer free! As for my neurological issues, nothing has changed except more frequent symptoms such as headaches and migraines among other things consistent things. Docs think that the current treatment may be causing all these symptoms to persist or get slightly worse, so we are getting off of it as quickly and safely as possible, but once that is done, it is still a waiting game and need to run some additional test if things do not get better.

Unfortunately, my mind is everywhere everyday, and don't get much sleep due to the treatment side effects of insomnia. Which is why I feel like I have fifty million ideas and things I want to do, but I can only do it slowly as I can barely look at a screen for more than an hour. On of the many ideas is Pioneer Spacegeer... It is an odd one, but a fun personal experiment. I was recording a session and out of no where thought about doing a Super Saiyan like transformation like scene to change into the Pioneers suit when it became available. A bit of a parody and joke that I love doing, but I can tell my humor is not as relatable to most of you all, lol.

This is creeping into the channel update, but wanted to give a little background on how this came about. I might just be going a little nutty, but take the negatives and make it into positives is how I operate.

Honestly, living like this is horrible and I do not wish it on anyone. I just want to feel normal again, one day! I'm hopeful it will be fixed soon and can get back to engineering and entertaining you all more frequently. Especially, getting back to some time-lapse building that most of you enjoy watching!

I love creating content and attempting to provide people with entertainment. Thank you all for your support and reading through these long winded updates.

Remember there are many ways to support this channel, and that would be helpful to keep me going.

Make sure to like and comment on each video you watched that entertained you. It's the quickest and free thing to do that can make this channel grow. Just watching the videos helps, but those extra steps taken can really elevate the growth.

Generally, the memberships are setup in a basic format, where all perks are available at the lowest tier and the additional tiers are based on how much you want to support the channel. I will rework this at a later time, but I like to keep things simple.

Should we change the channel name?

So I've been contemplating it as I've seen this channel grow and plummet in subscribers for some odd reason, and seen views go up and drastically go down... Is it the channel name that the all mighty algorithm does not like or my content just lacking? Let me know your thoughts.

I would hate to change the channel name because it has a meaning and the channel was launch before COVID and the 2019-2020 Pandemic. It wasn't named that to catch the wave of attention. The real meaning behind the channel name was to say "Spread (Pandemic) Fun (Playground)," but it comes to a point where if the word or combination of words is causing issues then a change may need to happen...

But also, lets be Honest Here! What can I do better to keep you guys engaged and entertained?
Something wrong with the video quality, audio, choice of music? I've been tinkering around with video pacing adding some humor (which I guess may only be funny to me cause I laugh at everything). So yeah... Let me know in the comments below, be as brutally honest as you want. I can take it. I swear my next video won't be I QUIT!

Anyways, I think I'm going to start doing weekly or bi-weekly post updates on Wednesdays to keep you guys up-to-date on what is going on with myself and the channel.

Channel Update:
Still posting long format videos on Sundays and Thursdays with a mix of How to's and Space Engineers 2 Classic Survival. My health issues prevent me from doing more at this time still...

Still deciding when I should launch my first STREAM! I should really set a goal date and hope to see you all there! More to come soon I hope.

Health Update:
For those who care! lol

I am now six (6) months Cancer Free!

However, me being cancer free came with a bit of a cost. I've been experiencing something called, immune-related adverse events (irAEs) that is effecting my brain. I went through a vigorous treatment recently to battle my neurological issues and it has really weakened my body. Did the treatment fix anything? NOPE, all the neuro issues/side effects cause by the immunotherapy still exists which seems to me that there is no cure in sight, but time will tell is what I've been told. Doc's say give it some time and it should subside... SHOULD, is the key word here...

So what am I feeling? Well lets just say I am very dizzy and lightheaded all day long, it never goes away. I now get migraines and frequent headaches, I see flashing of lights, my hands and parts of my body has tremors, I get tingly feet and legs, and muscle weakness among other symptoms. Basically, I feel like I only slept for 2 to 3 hours in a day, and I am just floating around.

But still better than the alternative! So I will take it as that for now.

Sorry for the long winded update. I appreciate those who read it all!
