just want to say to every editor and creator out there to ALWAYS take payment upfront, OR ATLEAST A DEPOSIT
I recently made a total of 7 edits from scratch for @paragonism_ (on tiktok) who agreed on the pricing, USED THE EDITS, AND THEN BLOCKED ME WHEN PAYMENT WAS REQUESTED
This is their tiktok: @paragonsim_ and dc: h3avyweather. Please report this person so this doesn’t happen to anyone else in the future.
I have full proof that the work is mine. Unfortunately, I found out that they have done similar things to other editors as well imo.
Please protect your time and your work. Watermark previews and don’t deliver full files before payment.
This person was also a very good friend of mine. We talked a lot and shared many good moments and conversations, which makes this hurt even more. Being treated this way was extremely disrespectful and genuinely painful.
