I have some good news to declare... from this weekend, I am going back to the PSA/PIF scene, after over two years. The reason? Really because I'm running out of Scottish comedy clips to post and, also rediscovered the last interest via TV Tropes recently. When it comes to posting new stuff to do with it, it'll be of PSAs and PIFs from Adland this time (found many good ones actually).
However, I can't guarantee of any new PSA/PIF compilations as these take a lot of time to do in general, although would consider making a "scary" one about seatbelts (something that I'd get my own mother to watch, who in some occasions didn't wear one because of her own body weight, which isn't a good enough excuse in my honest opinion).
I'll start posting some new PSAs/PIFs from this weekend, and the first compilation perhaps in August, we'll see.
Pleased to announce that my "Chewin' The Fat: Unseen" video is now the most viewed of all time, though just narrowly beaten the video showing virtually all those creepy ads from The Real Cost, back when I used to be in the PIF/PSA scene.
Also, I've not got round to uploading the entire episodes of Naked Video Series 2 and 3 yet because I had been busy (with college that is). Now that it's over, I can certain get round doing it soon, perhaps later this month.
Regarding Naked Video, a Scottish comedy from the 1980s where Rab C Nesbitt first made his debut before having his own show, only Series 1 is ever uploaded on this site. Now, later in the month, I will now take on the opportunity to upload Series 2 and 3 in their entirety once I get the DVDs of them that I had just ordered (from Amazon). Although, I am going to tease my audience with selected clips from them before I upload each episode.
However, don't ask about Series 4 and 5 because they were never released on VHS/DVD (don't know why) so if anybody happens to have VHS recordings of them, then that would be awesome.
As I've been uploading many clips from certain Scottish comedies over the past many months, I'm pondering with the idea of uploading full episodes of two things... Rab C. Nesbitt's Seasonal Greet and Chewin' The Fat: Unseen. The reason why is because only parts of them exist on YouTube (back in the day that people can only upload a video that was 10 minutes long, meaning that a half-hour show was split into three videos).
I've had my eye on their DVD releases on Amazon lately and may get them purely to have them posted here in full form (and just for anyone's information, Chewin' The Fat: Unseen was a bonus item within the CTF Hogmanay 2000 DVD.
Although, I've been toying with the idea of uploading certain clips of them first before uploading the full thing on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve respectively.
While I have not uploaded any PIF/PSA-related content for god knows how long, I may start doing it again but mostly under one condition... the fact that I have an idea for a new PIF/PSA compilation video and it's to do with Mental Health Awareness Month. I have some entries in mind to do with mental health for it but if anyone know other PIFs/PSAs that concern the topic, then please share them here.
I propose to work on the video and post it in the middle of May.
Things have been quiet round here, and I will explain why... last week, I got a strike for my "Consumer Safety Institute Compilation" video because apparently it depicted children in "harmful/dangerous acts" despite them being clearly adverts promoting child safety in many of them, and therefore I was unable to post for a week. Then again, that video was first uploaded THREE years ago and it was only now that the authorities of YouTube went after me for it? Yeah, strange... but to be fair I'm not bothered by it.
Although, on the subject of children, I voluntarily removed my child abuse PIF/PSA compilation in case I get another strike in the future. Better be safe than sorry I guess.
I should also note that another compilation of mine is gone and that is the "Whimsical Animated PIFs" video, due to a copyright strike from Latvian Railways (where one of their PIFs was used in it). That was two years ago though...
I may re-upload the missing compilations somewhere else and perhaps post their links in a new post. May actually put them on my Google Drive actually...
I'm going to let this out, to all my subscribers and to any potential viewer/subscriber that comes to this channel... I have officially retired from the PIF/PSA scene... pretty much after I posted my latest PIF compilation video last month.
Let's be honest though, it's become boring now and I've seen some folk that have lost interest in it also (when some of the PIF/PSA scene that I know haven't posted anything new for months). Not to mention that easportsbig899, a big name in that sort of community, has completely vanished and will be sorely missed. At least I won't be going anywhere...
From this point on, I'll still post videos of a different nature just to keep this channel alive, and of course enjoy seeing new comments from new people raging on how screwed up The Real Cost are with their anti-smoking ads.

In fact, I may decide to retire from posting videos altogether in the future (though the channel will remain).

Anyway, some of you might have noticed that I've uploaded two videos that aren't of the usual kind in this channel. Let me just say that in recent months, I'm losing interest in the whole PIF/PSA scene. While I may have some little public information ads pulled from elsewhere in the web to showcase here, I don't feel motivated to ever upload them. I also don't have the motivation to do another PIF/PSA compilation video (even though the last one was from February of last year).
What I may do is do a mixture of the PIF/PSA stuff and clips from certain Scottish comedies (with Burnistoun for a start, to which has global attention thanks to the "Elevator" sketch that you can find here).
I hope everyone can understand this little change in direction I'm proposing to go with.
