The latest category of Israeli jobs that Sri Lanka has recently received is the recruitment of personnel for renovation, maintenance and multi-tasking services. Of the 160 people recruited as part of the construction sector, 85 more are scheduled to arrive in Israel after May 10, 2025.

A fake group is reportedly sending messages purporting to be from the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment to phones, asking for money to be deposited.
If you receive such a message, please do not pay any money and contact the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment's head office or regional offices for further information.

I am writing to formally bring to your attention the challenges faced by Sri Lankan agricultural workers in Israel. As a worker contributing to Israel’s agricultural sector, I wish to highlight several urgent issues that require immediate resolution to ensure fair and humane treatment.
1. Accommodation Conditions: Many Sri Lankan workers, including myself, live in substandard housing. The accommodations provided are overcrowded and lack basic necessities, falling below acceptable living standards. We request immediate improvements to ensure dignity and well-being.
2. Low Wages: Some workers receive less than 35 shekels per hour, which is insufficient to sustain a decent livelihood. Given the physically demanding nature of agricultural labor, we urge fair wages that align with Israel’s labor laws and living costs.
3. Visa Renewal Delays: A significant number of workers face difficulties due to employers failing to renew visas on time. This leaves us at risk of becoming undocumented, causing unnecessary stress and legal complications. In my case, despite informing my employer three months prior to expiration, my visa has not yet been renewed. We request the authorities to establish a monitoring system to ensure timely renewals and protect workers from unintentional violations of immigration laws.

2025 ජනවාරි 7 වන දින සිට ක්‍රියාත්මක වන පරිදි, ඊශ්‍රායලයේ අවම මාසික වැටුප මසකට දළ වශයෙන් 6,248 NIS (ඇමරිකානු ඩොලර් 1,714 ක් පමණ) දක්වා යාවත්කාලීන කෙරේ.
ප්‍රධාන කරුණු:
නව අවම මාසික වැටුප කෙටි කාලීන රැකියා අවසර වැඩසටහන්වල සේවය කරන විදේශීය ජාතිකයින්ට මෙන්ම 2(a)(5) සරණාගත සහ ආරක්ෂණ සොයන්නන්ට සහ සාමාන්‍ය B-1 වීසා බලපත්‍රලාභීන්ට අදාළ වේ.
රැකියා බලපත්‍රයක් ලබා ගැනීමට හෝ අලුත් කිරීමට අපේක්ෂා කරන හෝ අප්‍රේල් 1 වන දින හෝ ඊට පසු අපේක්ෂිත අයදුම්පතක් ඇති සේවා යෝජකයින් නව රීතියට අනුකූල වීම සඳහා විදේශීය ජාතිකයාගේ අවම වැටුප වැඩි කළ යුතුය. අවම වැටුප සපුරා නොමැති ආගමන අයදුම්පත් ප්‍රතික්ෂේප කරනු ලැබේ.
අවම මාසික වැටුප් යාවත්කාලීන කිරීම සැලසුම් කර ඇත්තේ ඉහළ යන ජීවන වියදම සමඟ වැටුප් පෙළගැස්වීමට උපකාරී වන පරිදි ය.
අතිරේක තොරතුරු: රජය 2025 සඳහා අයදුම්පත් සැකසුම් ගාස්තු ද වැඩි කළ අතර, වැඩ බලපත්‍ර ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමේ ගාස්තුව NIS 1,390 දක්වා ඉහළ නැංවීම ද ඇතුළුව. අනෙකුත් කැපී පෙනෙන ගාස්තු වැඩිවීම් අතරට B-1 වැඩ වීසා සහ බහු-ප්‍රවේශ වීසා NIS 200 දක්වා ඉහළ යාම සහ B-1 වසරක සේවායෝජක ගාස්තුව NIS 11,060 දක්වා ඉහළ යාම ඇතුළත් වේ.
විදේශීය ජාතිකයන් බඳවා ගන්නා සේවායෝජකයින් තම සේවකයින්ට අවම වශයෙන් යාවත්කාලීන කළ අවම වැටුප ලැබෙන බවට සහතික විය යුතු අතර ඔවුන්ගේ 2025 අයවැය සැලසුම් කිරීමේදී නව වැඩි කළ අවම මාසික වැටුප සහ ගොනු කිරීමේ ගාස්තු සැලකිල්ලට ගත යුතුය.
