If you won a ridiculous amount of money ( I’m talking multi- millionaire/ billionaire) in the lottery, what would you do with it?
(After you pay off your debts, buy a house etc etc)
What will you REALLY DO with that money?
Will you sit on it and rub your fingers together like Scrooge McDuck and watch the pile grow?
Or will you decide to put your money to work and make your community and the lives around you better?
I’ll go first. Two words. Sneaky. Philanthropy. 😁
One day the phone rings….Some random person walked into the bank and paid off your in arrears mortgage……anonymously That would be me.
Your car payment came back bc the loan company had received payment in full for your car loan. That would be me.
You receive a letter from an RESP company… and some $ for each of your children’s education. That would be me.
The local non-kill animal welfare shelter suddenly receives a donation that covers all of their expenses for the next 5 years.
That would be me.
There are many ways to make the world a better place that don’t involve donating to charities that keep 85% of the money for their accountants and board members, and rarely help the charities it was meant for. I would rather make small changes that have big impacts in people’s everyday lives. 🤷♀️. And one day I’ll be rich enough to do it.
You will never see me coming, but you will know that I was there.
