Hi guys, I've decided to work on the game again instead of taking a break, while looking through feedback in the forms, I saw a suggestion that I want an opinion on. Should there be lives in the game? Or should there be infinite do-overs? there are benefits to both and it would definitely affect difficulty.
Hey all. I've hit a bit of a roadblock and could use some help. After making a few copy abilities, I've realized that this gameplay style doesn't fit the mega man style gameplay I had in mind.
So I have two Ideas to choose between.
Idea 1:
keeping the copy abilities but making the game more like Mario World, with multiple levels. Which would increase the amount of time it would take to complete this game by a lot. But it does seem to be the favorite addition I've added
OR
Idea 2:
keep things the way they were supposed to be (8 stages and 8 sub weapons) and get rid of the copy abilities. a lot less time to complete the game
In the end I'm leaning towards the second option. But I just wanted a second opinion
Hi all. After looking at the comments, it seems you all like the sub-mission idea, so i'll be going through with implementing that.
However there seems to be a split in whether the current bullet-hell mini boss should stay in the game, or if it should be replaced with a challenge that makes sense and fits the current gameplay.
So I'll leave it to a poll.
Hi all. After watching the latest video and hearing my idea of a new Mechanic, what do you all think about it? Should I keep the new one or revert back to the old one? Or should I somehow combine the two? leave any ideas you might have in the comments below : )
Hey all, I made a new video after being gone for so long. Come check it out and let me know what you think. I think its some of my best work yet : ) https://youtu.be/3gpjceBwjU8?si=xOzDQ...
Hi all. It’s been a bit and I have some news.
For one, I’ve landed a full time job. Meaning that I will have less and less time to work on my game which in turn will lead to long periods of time without a development log. Another thing is that I am benching the game I’m currently working on. I’ll go into more detail as to why when I eventually make another video. That doesn’t mean I haven’t been working on much though, I have been working on a new project that's been going good so far(see down below) I'll make a devlog on this project when I find some free time. I’m sorry to those who really liked my previous project but that’s the decision I’ve decided to go with for now.
Hi everyone. Sorry for the lack of updates on the game recently, I'm still hard at work with the game but most of what I'm working on are general bug fixes and working on in game scenes. things that are either boring or has potential spoilers that I don't want to put in videos. In the meantime, I do have a video on something else I've worked on that should be out later this week.
I'm experimenting with the idea of making the game style be top down rather than isometric. the top-down style art isn't at all final. I just want to know whether or not you guys like the isometric style or the top-down style more.
I've made a lot of spells for my game in the last few months. I think I want spells to be unlocked over time, but I can't decide how I want to go about doing it. what do you all think I should do?

Not much progress today. Still trying to put together a base moveset for the player. So here's a drawing made of the player in my free time : )
