DIY3DTech is focused on taking the activity of "Personal Making" to the level of "Personal Fabricating" be it for advanced home hobbyists or small commercial pursuits. We focus on sharing the tools and techniques which were once only in the domain of big business, but are rapidly becoming available at the desktop scale. With advent of micro-controllers such as the Ardunio, 3D Printing, CNC Machining, and Laser cutting or engraving are now available in the "Personal Fabricating" arena opening an entirely new cottage industry based upon the combined mash up of these technologies and small (niche) manufacturing capabilities creating completely new opportunities to move from Maker to Entrepreneur like never before!

So we went looking for a Z-Axis knob and could not find one we liked so what did we do? You guessed it! We designed our own so look for it on Thingiverse soon! Is there something you think we should design? Let us know in the comments!

Well here is the finished product in place! The project turned out okay as there are a few things a second time around I would have done differently to save time. However the "general" design worked spot on!

So this project has been months in the making! I am almost done and it has not been without its own challenges! Any ideas what it is?

Printing more TPU on the Wanhao i3! Love printing TPU as is a down adapter for gutters! Who says there isn't a practical use for 3D printers!

We picked up several Strip Clamps (see more here: amzn.to/3095lf5 ) as they are super handy especially for mounting to a tripod leg however to flats (sides) and a round (the tripod leg) don't match the best and end up working lose. The solution to this was I turned to Fusion 360 and designed a compression "puck" to the power strip firmly to the tripod leg using TPU (see more here: amzn.to/2BnrCeK ).

**Note:** This could also be used with types of power strip adapters too (such as: amzn.to/2U9mXUe ) as the base of the puck is 35mm. Also, while we printed in TPU you could also do PLA or PETG it just might slide more.
