Kale My Name - Nemanja Golubovic

10 years ago today, on January 20th, 2015, I landed at O’Hare Airport in Chicago with only a couple hundred dollars and a dream. I didn’t have a job, a social security number, a work permit, or a credit score. Honestly, I don’t know where I found the courage to seek a new life across the ocean, all by myself, with my broken English and no money. Just thinking about it now terrifies me. But I guess I was so much braver 10 years ago.

Back then, I didn’t know the life I have now was even possible. I probably felt I had nothing to lose.

If I could have seen what my life would look like today, I wouldn’t have believed it. A citizen. A business owner whose company made over $10 million in sales. Countless awards. So many shows and podcasts, including my own. The home I live in now, the car I drive, my insanely hot and beautiful husband, my precious little dog, my friends and my 818 credit score. And all the things I’ve been able to give and do for my family back home. If I could have seen all this, I know I would’ve said, “God, if I ever get these things, I’ll never ask you for anything else.”

Because it’s so much more than I prayed for.

Today, I may not be as brave as my 25-year-old self, but I still pray for more. I trust I can do more—not just for myself, but for everyone around me. Because for the next 10 years, I just want to love on them so hard. ♥️

Thank you, America, for everything you’ve given me, you and I are just getting started. Happy 10 years! 🇺🇸

Just two Montenegrins living their American Dream! 😍🐶
Yesterday on my newest puppy patrol episode we heard the most incredible rescue dog story!!!
Maggie Jo and her partner ( from Chicago) went on a 1500 miles cycling trip around the Europe when one bike broke in the middle of nowhere in MONTENEGRO!!!!!!! 🇲🇪
MY HOME COUNTRY!!! 😭
Stopping away from the road to fix the bike they’ve met the stray dog that would forever changed their lives.
After trying to say goodbye multiple times, this stray dog was pretty sure that she found her humans and just wouldn’t let them go. Not without her.
After 4 days of following them on their bikes for MILES AND MILES, she disappeared.
They thought they lost her but she found their way back to them and they all knew they just wanna be together forever.
Process of bringing stray dog from accross the world to the United States is nothing easy and lasted over a month!
Maggie Jo shares all the details she and her dog needed to through in order for them to travel back to the United States together. She named her dog MONTE after MONTENEGRO, country they found each other and fell in love and now they live happy life full of adventures in Chicago, United States of America. 🇺🇸

Today marks 9 years since I’ve landed to Chicago O’Hare with just couple hundreds of dollars and humble hope that I’ll just make enough to stay. It’s all I wanted. Looking back at those 9 years I can’t believe how much has been done including me flying into Chicago O’Hare today using my American Passport. I wonder what that 25 years old boy would say to see me now, but I know I would tell him: “you’ll learn the kindness, compassion, empathy and love like you never knew before, you’ll love and respect every living creature and God will give you everything you could ever imagine”
