Blackmagic just dropped the PYXIS 6K L-Mount and EF models to $1,995.
The price gets your attention, but this is bigger than a discount. The full-frame 6K image, BRAW workflow, modular body and pre-record were already strong. Autofocus was the major gap I called out when Canon released the C50, and Blackmagic has now brought public phase-detect autofocus to the PYXIS.
That complete package is why I believe the PYXIS is now the strongest cinema-first option near $2,000.

I know most GoPro Mission 1 Pro videos are going to turn into comparison battles.

I’ve been spending time with the new Viltrox AF 90mm F2.2 EVO, and this one caught me off guard.
I knew the size was going to be interesting, but I didn’t expect to enjoy using it this much. It gives APS-C shooters that tighter, compressed look that feels close to a 135mm full-frame lens, but in a setup that is actually easy to carry around.
That combination is what stood out to me the most. Small lens, lightweight setup, but the photos and video had more character than I expected.
