So some of you guys might already know about YouTube's stupid AI age identification implementation (basically using AI to "determine your age" based on your viewing habits, and they ask you for your government ID to correct it if the AI thinks you're under 18. "Protecting child safety" is their flimsy excuse) in a few days. Apparently there's a boycott going on in August 13th where we don't use YouTube until they backpedal on this decision. I'm not certain on the effectiveness of this boycott, but I want to do what I can to let YouTube (and other companies) know that they're getting WAY too comfortable with invading on people's private information. I'm pretty sure this is against some laws in the US...
Also, I'm working on adjusting the audio and some other stuff in my Bird Squad video, so yeah it will be reuploaded and premiering again after YouTube gets it together, so I hope you guys'll be there! In the meantime, try to find some ways to watch stuff outside of YouTube. I've already got a bunch of Bird Squad stuff on my PC, so ask me about it on Discord (provided a link to the server me, MichTop, and Nick Lang are in in the pinned comment of the Bird Squad video) so we can watch it together. Idk how long this boycott will last, but I really hope YouTube gets a reality check...

Hey guys, been pretty busy but happy 11th anniversary to HappyDays' channel! Shamefully again, I don't have the time and resources to make something special for this occasion (I got the whole Pacific Ocean between me and my PC, but things will go back to normal in a few days!).
I'm going to be real, I haven't felt into HappyDays character lore for a few months, which is worrying to me. The stories he makes in his Terraria playthroughs mean so much to me, as much as Bird Squad and Octonauts. I think the interest will strike back pretty soon, as I still need to finish that massive lore document and even find some music that's been eluding me in my Music Doc project (looking at you Gaspar series).
I also definitely want to do some revisions of some of the character references I made for some characters, namely Holly the Healer (my drip for her here) and Maxwell the Mage, as well as character expressions for the other Lunar Prophecy characters.

Anyways, as the cookie man says or smth, Stay Happy! 🍪🍪

Just in time for me finishing this lil drawing, the big Bird Squad video reached 1K views! Considering how YouTube's algorithm and my doodoo upload schedule are, I'm a bit surprised my hard work got past 100 views. The premiere was really fun and it's great seeing the comments, too! I'm hoping some bigger creators can spread the word about this show in the near future so it gets the traction it needs for some progress to be made finding the lost English dub.
And also I've decided to remaster the video when I get home in about a month, for better audio quality (exporting the individual chapters into mp4 and compiling them in the whole video as mp4 was such a bad idea omg) and adjusted volume levels.

Henlo! I'm finally not going to disappoint you guys, the big Bird Squad video's busy being uploaded to YouTube. Considering my wifi's not all that great right now, it'll take a while for the premiere announcement to show up. Yeah, it'll be a premiere upon upload, tomorrow (Tuesday June 24) at 2 PM (or 14 o'clock) PST. When it drops, please share this video around because part of its purpose is to raise awareness about Bird Squad and its lost English dub so it can finally be found.

This monster of a video is, like, an hour and a half long, so be mindful of that when it premieres. I have so much stuff to say about Bird Squad and its dubs, and this thing has gone through a bunch of script rewrites and re-edits and shaved a few years off my life, so if I sound weird in the video and it's not as concise and stuff like a well-made "video essay" (I can't even call this a video essay, it's me infodumping about one of my biggest special interests) should be, that's why. I also put in some text in the video that stay for a short time (plus sped up segments that do flash a bit and some loud memes), so don't pay too much attention to that during the premiere.
Also, this is the first time I've ever made a video of this kind, so there's going to be some rough spots even after all my revisions, especially in the audio department, so I have closed captioning to help with understanding what I say. I might remaster it (probably) based on feedback, but even if I don't end up doing that, feedback is very helpful to make my future videos better, so please give me your thoughts when this thing drops!
