BOXER ANTHONY JOSHUA INVOLVED IN CAR ACCIDENT IN NIGERIA

According to international media reports, British-Nigerian boxing star Anthony Joshua was involved in a car accident in Nigeria.

Reports say Joshua suffered minor injuries and is in stable condition. Sadly, two people travelling with him reportedly lost their lives in the accident.

Authorities are still investigating what caused the crash.

A major fire in Hong Kong has killed at least 13 people and left many others trapped inside a high-rise apartment complex, according to authorities.

Huge flames and thick black smoke were seen rising from the buildings as firefighters worked urgently to rescue people still inside. Several floors of the towers were burning, making it difficult for emergency crews to enter.

Officials say they are still investigating what caused the fire. Rescue teams are continuing their search to reach anyone who may still be trapped.

Concerns Raised Over Seized Chinese Vehicles Being Auctioned in American Samoa

Following the announcement of the November 24th auction for the 47 vehicles seized in American Samoa, new concerns have surfaced regarding the possible movement of these units into Samoa.

The vehicles, mostly left-hand-drive SUVs and pickups from China, were confiscated because they do not meet U.S. transportation regulations and cannot be registered for road use in American Samoa.

In the community, there is growing rumour and public concern that certain foreign buyers may attempt to bid on these units in Pago Pago and transfer them to Samoa afterwards.

However, Samoa’s laws clearly state that left-hand-drive vehicles are not permitted for import or road use, except under very strict exemptions.
This means these vehicles should not legally enter Samoa, regardless of who purchases them in American Samoa.

Call for Vigilance

Members of the public are calling on Samoa Customs, Land Transport Authority (LTA), and relevant ministries to monitor this situation closely to prevent:

Illegal importation of left-hand-drive vehicles

Any attempt to bypass regulations

Corrupt practices or backdoor entries

The family of the late Sipa Lafo kindly informs everyone that her family service will be held today, Friday 21 November 2025 at 4pm at the Motootua Morgue.

Her final service will be held tomorrow, Saturday 22nd, as the family gathers to honour her life and legacy.
