This wash stand was such a fun and unique project and it's always nice to change things up and do something out of the ordinary. I'd never seen one before and it wasn't in great shape when I got it. The bowl is my favorite part!
I used the sweet dreaming transfer from Re·design with Prima applying in the bowl shape was a challenge, but go slow and it's absolutely possible. The center of the bowl is where the pieces all seamed together so it had to be done right. I sealed the bowl in amazing clear cast plus resin from Alumilite Corporation so It can still be used to hold water. I pulled my color inspiration from the blues in the transfer and used Wise Owl Paint in graphic slate and river rock for this seamless blend, along with raspberry beret for a pop of color on the underside of the bowl. All was sealed in wise owl matte varnish using my paint sprayer. Check out the video to see the before and you'll be astonished how far this came!

It may be Friday the 13th, but don't be scared, these are friendly pumpkins 🎃 Fairies and toads make for whimsical fall decor with a little bit of magic 🧹
That were class samples i taught woth last weekendat the Redesign with Prima DIY and Wine Store, and after a long weekend of painting, I thoroughly enjoyed teaching this class. It as relaxing and creative and completely different. For this pair I used Wise Owl Paint in gray linen to unify them, a perfect greige neutral, then foxtrot, Joshua tree, & native clay as accents. I used the forest flora & simple greenery moulds cast in amazing casting resin to wrap the surfaces and add dimension, always with a theme in mind. The forest fairies 🧚♂️ & froggy meadow 🐸 transfers gave them each their own identity and a personality. The new Chipboard tags and fall stamps from Re·design with Prima dangling from the stem, decor waxes, and prima Marketing paper flowers were the perfect finishing touches. I sealed them in Wise owl furniture salve to make a scented center piece for any table

It all started with a paper, and I adore this print from MINT by michelle, it's bold, detailed, and was perfect for an ultra feminine vanity. I paired an estate sale desk with another mirror to unite this perfect pair. The color inspiration came from the paper and Mint by Michelle paint in woolen jumper, stoneware clay, and time & space were the perfect compliments. I mixed in a few touches of the new color peachy kern for some light spots. The top went dark with several layers of stain. Fall is just around the corner and some of my decor was looking tired. I've had these pumpkins for years, they just needed an update, save your old decor by giving it a new look!
For these I used Wise Owl Paint in gray linen, graphic slate, foxtrot, thunderstruck, and iron oxide. These colors make a beautiful muted fall color scheme!. To add new dimension to my set, I used a variety of Re·design with Prima moulds, each one is as little different. Then dressed them up with vintage e labels transfer and decor waxes. Secretary desks...the insides are a project all in themselves. Sometimes you get lucky and the cubbies can be removed, otherwise get your long handled brushes ready for a challenge!
My best tip...spray them. Either a paint sprayer or a rattle can will do, but spraying is the only way to get those cubbies cohesive. This secretary needed all new hardware and a ton of bondo patchwork to put it back together after the screws had all been ripped out. It's sanded smooth and brand new. Inside ties in with the body done in a layered finish using Wise Owl Paint. Nothing every goes to waste in my work space, so I used the last bits of the gold fleur de lis foil transfer from Re·design with Prima for touches of gold that match the shiny new hardware. This surface is brand new and ready to go back to work
