Hello! I hope you’re taking care of yourself! 🌞 I was feeling great with the Spring weather but suddenly hit a wall. WIPED OUT. Fatigue. Brian fog. Legs felt like lead weights. Not able to sleep. I thought it was a bunch of different things like menopause, allergies, or something else. But it was my TBI…post concussion syndrome relapse.
So many women with DV and abuse are NEVER checked for head injuries and over 75% suffer from at least 1 traumatic brain injury. 🧠
Did you know DV survivors are 12 TIMES MORE LIKELY to have a TBI than military and athletes COMBINED?
12 Times MORE LIKELY!! 🤯
No joke.
And these undetected brain injuries can impact your daily life in so many ways. But much of it can be addressed with the right information, professionals, and even on your own. So I’m sharing what I’ve lived through and what I’ve learned about TBIs and concussions over the last 3 years.
Please watch and share if you know someone who’s suffering from symptoms I’ve mentioned as well as DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, mood swings, dizziness, vertigo, vision issues, neck pain, and DIGESTIVE ISSUES.
Consider this a public service announcement—I just discovered this is a hidden epidemic and too many women are suffering without care. 💔❤️🩹
Let’s help them! Thank you!! 🙏🏼😘

Mother's Day is one of those holidays that comes with a lot of assumptions about how people are spending it. I know having lost my mother nearly 20 years ago, I always have mixed emotions. I'm grateful I became a mother late in life, but I deeply regret that my girls never met my mom. So when I heard that Bethenny Frankel's mom passed just after she began releasing the video series about her divorce, my heart broke.
There's no loss quite like that of losing a mother. Whether it was a positive or challenging relationship, it was always complex and hard to navigate all the feelings and memories that surfaced when she was gone. I was happy to see that she stepped over her strained relationship with her mom and facilitated a connection between her daughter Bryn, and her mom. Bryn will always have those memories instead of wondering what if?
Catch the latest episode on B's decision on what to do with the divorce videos (they were taken down), and let me know what you think. Should she continue sharing her story in the name of helping others avoid narcissistic abuse and pitfalls?

It's been quite a couple of weeks! When things get intense my go-to to get myself back to centered and feeling less overwhelm is WALKING. And this spot is my absolute favorite. The sunsets at my happy place shift everything and feed my soul.
What's your go-to for getting you out of a funk, anxiety, anger, or when you're just not feeling great? Share with me in the comments. I'd love to get to know you better!
Sending Love to all who see this. xoxo!!

Starting small as I make my way back into creating content. Here's a quick insight into what's coming up. Focusing on what you need in place when you decide to share your story, service, or expertise on a podcast as a guest. It's totally worth it to be ready and have all your ducks in a row. https://youtu.be/WrZDwqPmtjA
Your support means the world as I get back into the swing of things. Thanks for being awesome! 🎬🤗

Hey All, thanks for sticking with me through this challenging year with so many twists and turns. My daughter is out of the hospital and home now! Celebrating and praying she stays OUT. I know many of you have had a tough year and are also experiencing multiple challenges. With that in mind, I'd love to know.

This week I'm talking about self-esteem, confidence, mojo, or whatever you want to label it. And how coercive, manipulative, isolation, and abusive programming erodes self-esteem and creates a mindset where we feel caged in and stuck. It stops us from being our best selves and honoring the voice that was once there and told us we CAN do things, we ARE capable, and fuels us with HOPE.
In this episode, I discuss an interview by Ed Mylett that lit a fire within me and helped me see this pattern and A WAY OUT that can help many of us regain confidence, and self-esteem, to gain a sense of self-efficacy.
It's not a quick fix, and it's all about incremental change. Those 1% tweaks in our behavior trigger shifts in how we frame our lives. They're catalysts for more profound change, allowing us to create a new story and identity, breaking through the well-worn programming we may not even be aware of.
I needed to share this one and will be re-listening as a reminder to myself that even the tiniest effort forward matters.
I hope this one resonates and inspires you if you're feeling stuck or caged in mentally.
Rooting for your release and freedom!! Lots of Love. xoxo

It stops us from being our best selves and honoring the voice that was once there and told us we CAN do things, we ARE capable, and fuels us with HOPE.
So can we break through that caged mindset? If so, HOW?
One consistent pattern I've seen with myself and fellow survivors of emotional, financial, and mentally abusive situations is when you finally get out of one of these relationships, you first think, "I'm FREE!!!!"
But you soon realize you're NOT TRULY FREE because even if you no longer have contact with the abuser, your experience built a cage in your mind through ongoing emotional, mental, manipulation, and coercive control.
In this episode, I discuss an interview by Ed Mylett that lit a fire within me and helped me see this pattern and A WAY OUT that can help many of us regain confidence, and self-esteem, to gain a sense of self-efficacy.

There's no question that these are dark times. I accept that. Heaps of doom and gloom are being served to us, and it's nearly impossible to dodge. Important news and events impact our lives and the lives of fellow humans. But dwelling in the darkness doesn't serve us, and we will all be better off finding ways to reach for and stay in the light.
I believe that when we're in dark times, it's a good idea to focus on what's good and possible, find more purpose, and create ways to make life better. Doing so has a positive ripple effect in life, and anyone around us can feel it. It creates hope and gives us the fuel we need to impact change.
So I'm inviting you to tune in and do your best to play along with me weekly as we try to stay in the light to spite these dark times and the swirl around us.
Join me in using the Best Year of Your Life kit by Debbie Ford. It's FREE, FUN, and one way to strive for more while we face real challenges.
A growth mindset, belief in something and positive support are the two main things we need to stretch and grow. And I'm happy to be here with you to do this together so we can get through the dark days and deep challenges. We'll follow prompts each week by Debbie Ford, a beloved personal transformation expert who appeared on Oprah numerous times before passing in 2013. We can challenge ourselves to grow and make choices that support us in moving in a positive direction.
The first video of where we being the Best Year of Your Life premieres tonight at 5:55pm: https://youtu.be/dJkDaq1JECI
I'm aiming for Tuesday/Wednesday game days, so check it out and subscribe to be notified!
If I get up the courage, we'll make these live game card pulls so we can share what we learned, how it went, and how we're feeling. I'd LOVE to get to know you!
