Children don’t just enjoy play—they need it. 🌱

Daily activity hours are essential for children’s growth, both in body and mind. When children climb, dig, balance, or explore, they’re not only burning energy—they’re practicing problem-solving, communication, and resilience.

Experts recommend at least 2–3 hours of active play a day for preschool-aged children. This doesn’t have to be complicated. It can look like:
✨ Outdoor play in the garden or park
✨ Building towers with blocks or natural materials
✨ Pretend play with dolls, costumes, or kitchen sets
✨ Simple board games or turn-taking activities

The key is variety. Outdoor play builds motor skills and confidence, pretend play grows empathy and imagination, and building games teach patience and teamwork.

And here’s something we often forget: play is also where children learn how to take turns, experience both winning and losing, and show empathy when a friend feels upset after failing. These moments, guided in a safe and supportive environment, teach children resilience and compassion in ways no worksheet ever could.

So instead of asking “Did my child learn today?”, try asking:
💡 “Did they move, explore, imagine, and play?”

Because those hours of free play—filled with both successes and setbacks—are the most powerful lessons of all. 💛

Slide 1 – PLAY BUILDS SKILLS

Play isn’t “just fun.”
It’s how children grow confidence, resilience, and joy.

Slide 2 – SAFE SPACE FOR WINS & FAILS

In play, children practice:
* Taking turns
* Handling both winning & losing
* Bouncing back after mistakes

Slide 3 – EMPATHY IN ACTION

When a child comforts a friend after a fall or a “loss,”
they’re learning the heart of community: empathy.
