In Tekken 7's character story mode for Eliza, it was suggested that Lili was her sister. Given the massive age difference, setting up the 'sister' relationship between them seemed like a fun challenge. Naturally, it lent itself to an interesting story both for me to write and for a viewer to read. It's also canon that Eliza had slept under the Rochefort for many years, so linking their relationship to the time skip was important.
Trying to piece together what bits of canon story there is and melding them together with some theories to make it enjoyable, then sprinkling in some mystery to justify the chosen character's involvement in the tournament is my favorite part of the writing process. I always try to be faithful to the character, their home country and Tekken 4's tone in order to make it feel genuine.

Tekken 4, Brian's prologue panel 1 by Takuji Kawano.
His art has a notable emphasis on storytelling, whilst mixing gritty yet expressive pencil linework combined with soft and stylized shading. Overall it really solidified and compliments the game's tone and darker atmosphere.
