The Emira was unveiled on July 6th, 2021 in Hethel, Norfolk, UK - Lotus HQ. It's the first completely new model in over 12 years and was announced as the last 100% combustion Lotus in history before the brand goes fully electric ⚡️. Internal codename was Type 131 and it replaces THREE legends at once: Elise, Exige and Evora 😢.
The name "Emira" comes from Arabic and means "princess" 👑, keeping Lotus tradition of E-names and feminine names.
The design is inherited directly from the 2,000hp electric hypercar Evija, bringing supercar appeal to the affordable sports car segment - Lotus itself calls it "best-of-breed" ❤️🔥.
What is the V6 SE:
The V6 SE is the new flagship of the range, top of the line. It represents "the pure driving pleasure for which Lotus is known" 😍.
Engine: 3.5L Supercharged V6 from Toyota (same as Camry), with Edelbrock supercharger - 400hp to 405hp depending on market 💪
Torque: 42.85 to 43.8 kgfm
Gearbox: 6-speed Manual with LSD (Limited Slip Differential) standard - what purists LOVE 🥰 - or optional Automatic
0-100 km/h: 4.3 seconds 🚀
What's new in the SE: Lotus optimized the dampers and made "subtle wheel alignment adjustments" for better handling and comfort vs the First Edition 🛞
