🎸 Which thumbnail would you click?
This video looks at why some Klon style drives feel right and others don’t, even when the circuit is the same. It’s about feel, response, and one small part most people ignore.
I’ve posted a few thumbnail options here. Which one pulls you in?

Can a transformer actually BE a guitar pickup?

If your fuzz sounds perfect straight into the guitar…
but turns harsh, flat, or broken the moment you add a buffer, tuner, or drive, this is why.

I built a tiny fully passive box that recreates the inductance, resistance, and behaviour of a real pickup…
and it makes germanium fuzzes react like they’re plugged straight into a Strat again.

No power.
No DSP.
Just physics.

This Tiny Box Fixes Every Fuzz!

Would you run something like this before your fuzz? Or is this total madness? 👇

This video digs into why fuzzes and treble boosters only come alive when they “see” a real pickup inductance, resistance, cable and all. One thumbnail leans into the mystery of that interaction, the other into the tiny box that fixes it. Same video. Very different promise.

I’m curious which instinct you trust more at a glance. Drop a comment and tell me which thumbnail pulls you in and why. That feedback genuinely shapes what I put out next.

🎸 Help me choose the thumbnail…

This pedal nearly died on the bench.
One box. Muff, Klon and Hall Reverb fighting for their lives inside it.

You’ve got four different stories here:
• Forbidden tone
• One box, all tones
• Obsession and myth
• Black

Be brutally honest — which one would you click first?
A, B, C or D 👇

And if you have not seen the build yet, the full chaos is live here:

🎸 Something daft just happened on the bench…

I forced a Muff, a Klon and a Hall Reverb into one pedal.
Halfway through, it nearly died.
When it came back… it sounded dangerous in the best way.

If you hate menu diving and love real analogue chaos, this one’s for you.

🧙‍♂️ ONE PEDAL TO RULE THEM ALL — Premieres Tomorrow! ⚓🔥

Shipmates… tomorrow (Sunday 7th Dec) I’m dropping the most unhinged pedal build I’ve ever attempted.

A Muff. A Klon. A Hall Reverb.
All forced to live inside ONE box.

No menus
No presets
Just pure analogue chaos
… and a wiring mistake that nearly killed it. 😅

Would YOU trust this thing on your pedalboard? 👇

🎸 A rare 1970s Mu-Tron Octave Divider landed on the bench… but this one’s on its last legs.
Jeff Beck used these to craft some of his wildest tones. The unit I’ve got here is fighting for its life. Half a century of drift, tired components, and some truly strange behaviour…

If you’re into proper old-school engineering, handwired repairs, and the stories behind legendary circuits, you’ll enjoy this one.

I’ve just uploaded the full repair and tone demo on the channel, have a watch and let me know if you think this Mu-Tron deserved saving.

This one dives deep into why germanium just feels warmer, that sag, that bloom, that almost vocal response you get from vintage parts. I’ve lined up three thumbnails: one shows the transistors up close, another frames the warmth vs cold debate, and the third leans into the real winner of the tone shootout.

If you were scrolling, which one grabs you quickest and why? 👇

I’d love your take and if you’ve not seen it yet, the full germanium vs silicon breakdown is live now, with A/B tests and the full story behind that legendary warmth:

Hello Sailor Effects Official

I’ve just uploaded a video that finally settles something guitarists have argued about for decades, why germanium feels alive, while silicon stays cold, clean, and a little too perfect.

The picture below is your first clue… one side warm and unpredictable, the other precise and sterile. But the real difference only shows up when you hear them pushed, sagging, breathing, misbehaving in all the best ways.

If you care about touch sensitivity, note bloom, or why certain boosts and drives just sing when you pick harder… this one’s for you.

Have a look at the picture, then tell me if you can guess which one your ears prefer before you watch.
Most players get it wrong. 👇
