There is an airstrike war going on between Iran and the USA and Israel right now, right in the aftermath of a month-long series of protests against the IRGC government across the whole of Iran. Alongside this is a sudden breakout of a war between Pakistan and Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. While flights across the Middle East and to the Middle East have been cancelled en masse, it is important for us to remember that there are spiritual and religious causes motivating these as much as the political or historical-diplomatic. Stay safe and fret not. All these happen for a reason, because of the injustices in this world and the human and spiritual realms moving against one another. We need to stay watchful and safe while praying for peace and living our daily lives. Fear is not an excuse to give up on living diligently.

Lent is coming soon (in preparation for Pascha). Christians should realize that there are certain spiritual doors and energies unlocked in this period when the Ramadan period is coinciding with Lent, and Muslims, without knowing it, are unlocking doors to the dark demonic realm with their five times a day of set ritualistic prayers besseching a false god opposed to the God of the Christian Bible. Whatever your denomination or tradition, we should take our fasting and prayers seriously. Muslims worship a god who is opposed to Christ, but we worship a God who loved us so much that He came and took on human flesh, even dying for us to set us free from sin that we might live a new life released from the sins we struggle with.
