The Courtroom Chance (Mercy) Gospel of Matthew Chapter Five Verse Seven. A young girl was caught in a terrible choice, Her guilt filled the air like a sorrowful voice. The judge raised his gavel, her sentence seemed sure, But mercy stepped in with a chance to endure. A program for hope instead of the cell, Her tears turned to thanks, for she knew it was well. For mercy holds back what is right to be paid, Reflecting the cross where salvation was made.

Community Post Devotional Series: "Fragments Made Whole"

Day 1: The Chalice and the Potter. Jeremiah Chapter 17 Verse 14 "Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise."

A Communion chalice fell and shattered. The man who dropped it brought the broken pieces to a potter. When it was restored, the lines of the fractures remained, yet it was whole again.

Just like that chalice, God restores our brokenness through Christ. Our scars become testimonies of His healing love.

Lord, thank You for making us whole in Jesus. In His Name, Amen.

Colossians Chapter 3 Verses 1 to 4 N.I.V. Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. #scripture #reminder #PraiseGod

“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” 1st John 4:10 KJV: In this verse, John explains that the true meaning of love is what God feels for us. He loved us long before we knew anything about Him. He sent Jesus to atone for our sins so we could have a relationship with Him. Bible Verse/Study #Bibleminutedotcom 2/26/2025

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 (KJV): But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. This verse, written by Paul to the church in Corinth, reminds us that how we understand things about God is not through our own eyes or ears, but through His spirit. Today, we'll break down this verse to understand it better and then apply it to our lives.

Paul quotes from the Old Testament book of Isaiah to show that understanding of the Gospel comes from the spirit. We cannot understand the "things which God hath prepared" for us unless the Holy Spirit reveals them to us. In other words, to have an appetite for the Lord to want to know Him, read the Bible, and grow in holiness is evidence that the Holy Spirit has worked in us. We do not naturally desire things of God, but the Holy Spirit causes us to desire Him.

This means we should always be humble about our relationship with the Lord. Salvation happens because the Holy Spirit decided to work in our hearts. It wasn't because we were good enough or something we did that made the Lord want us on His team. It was because He, in His mercy, reached out to us. After our salvation, we can respond to His goodness in ways that help us grow deeper in our relationships with Him, but in the end, all spiritual growth is an act of grace. When we understand that we know Jesus only because of grace, we will be humble in our walks with Him.          Dear Lord, I thank you so much for my salvation. I am so grateful that for some reason you decided to take me into your family. I am not deserving. I give you all the credit for my spiritual growth, and I ask that you would continue to work in me. I pray for the unsaved people in my life, and I ask that your spirit would begin to stir in their hearts a hunger for you and for truth. In Jesus' name, amen. #scriptureverse #scripturestudy #and #prayersource #bibleminutedotcom

Revelation 1 verses 1, 4 and 9 and also chapter 22 verse 8 specifically identify the author of the Book of Revelation as the apostle John. The Revelation of Jesus Christ was given to John by God “to show his servants what must soon take place.” This book is filled with mysteries about things to come. It is the final warning that the world will surely end and judgment will be certain. It gives us a tiny glimpse of heaven and all of the glories awaiting those who keep their robes white. Revelation takes us through the great tribulation with all its woes and the final fire that all unbelievers will face for eternity. The book reiterates the fall of Satan and the doom he and his angels are bound for. We are shown the duties of all creatures and angels of heaven and the promises of the saints that will live forever with Jesus in the New Jerusalem. Like John, we find it hard to describe what we read in the book of Revelation. Revelation 1:19, "Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later."

John 14:27 (KJV) Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. On the night that Jesus is arrested, He speaks to the disciples one last time. He says that He will give them peace and that they do not need to be afraid or troubled by His coming absence. Try to put yourself in the disciples' shoes for a minute. Their leader, whom they had followed for three years and given up everything for, was about to leave them. Jesus was about to leave the people who had become His friends and whom He loved deeply. He knows that when He leaves, He won't give them money or anything like that as a sort of inheritance or goodbye gift. He gives them something far more valuable: peace. Jesus knows that His gift is very different from what the world offers: "not as the world giveth, give I unto you." The world offers us things like money, a house, an inheritance, fame, or a legacy and each of them only lasts for a little while. Eventually the world, and all that it can give us, will be gone. Jesus, who is not of the world, gives His disciples peace for all of eternity. This peace will last beyond their lifetimes, spanning throughout all of time, untouched by the world. Because of this peace, they do not need to be afraid. When Jesus says that to them, He is repeating His words from the beginning of the 14th chapter of John, which starts with the phrase, "Let not your hearts be troubled." Jesus spent the chapter explaining why His disciples should not be troubled, and He ended with the greatest reason of all: His gift to them of peace, the opposite of fear. Do you live in peace today? There can be moments of our lives when we get caught up in things. Maybe something went wrong, something didn't work right, something is taking too long, something wasn't fair. In these moments we can easily forget that we are compromising on the peace that Jesus has given us as followers of Him. Whenever that happens, we can practice turning our thoughts back to Him, remembering to live in His eternal promises today. #Icanrelate #PraiseGod
