Some real life adversity has paused work on the latest video. Long story short, my car’s in the shop after some winter weather mishap with my emergency brake, and I’m on very little sleep today. Not going to worry about the video until I’m back to (mostly) normal.

The Star Wars Trilogy DVD Retrospective is DEEP into editing, but there's still a LONG WAY TO GO. I haven't even shot the segment regarding the changes made to these versions by George Lucas, and I've probably got another 20 minutes of already shot video to work through. Probably be done early next week, I'd bet. It's gonna be like an hour long video. I'll be editing and shooting video throughout Thanksgiving Day. No days off until this is finished.

Tonight, I shot the majority of the new Star Wars Home Video Retrospective, which focuses on the 2004 DVD debut of the Original Trilogy. I got through discussing all the technical critiques of the set with restoration, color grading, and audio mixing. I still have a whole page of the further changes George Lucas made to these films for this release. I figured it was best to put that off to another day.

I'll circle back to the Human Target Retrospective soon, I promise. I started getting progress early last week until I realized I had to get my research finished for this instead. A broken printer at home required me to fast track that so I could print out my notes at work before the weekend.

Hey, everyone! I might not do a channel update video for a while as I'm trying to grind forward with the next Retro Video Series episode. I've had this one on ice for two years because I knew how much of MESS it would be delving into it. I'll be producing a Home Video Retrospective of the 2004 DVDs of the Star Wars Original Trilogy. While I've documented previous home video eras for these films, this one is wrought with a lot of technical mishaps, more changes made to the films, and an array of behind the scenes muck to trudge through. We'll see how this progresses throughout the next few days.

Also, I am trying to get that Human Target TV Series Retrospective moving forward again, but it's not been the most energetic start to November. This month typically flies by for me while not getting a lot done. We'll see how it goes. Steve & I record our next commentaries on Nov 14th. These will be a fresh change of pace from the horror films we've covered as of late with GoldenEye & Rocky III.

Well, The Hitcher video is still in progress. I had wanted to get it done on my three day weekend, but it’s A LOT of editing. After this, I need a break from editing. I’ve been chopping a great deal out of this to make it more succinct, and that has been time consuming. Nine years of pent up need to discuss this film in such depth gave me all too much to talk about. Anyway, this will now have to drop this Friday on Halloween, which means our commentary for Late Night With the Devil ought to drop a little earlier than originally planned just to give a buffer zone between both videos. Anyway, it’s coming along. I just need some extra time to finesse it and write, record, and edit the plot summary, amongst other things. Stay posted! It’ll be worth the wait!
