Let’s talk Confirm.ID. This is the official program behind the new REAL ID rules taking effect 2/1/2026. (Source Federalregister.gov)
✔ Who collects the fee? The federal government, via TSA — a DHS agency.
✔ Where does the money go? Into TSA’s federal fee accounts tied to the Confirm.ID program.
✔ What does it fund? Costs of providing the alternative identity verification process (people, tech, admin) so the cost is borne by users, not general taxpayers.
✔ Is it general tax revenue? No — it’s a user fee earmarked for specific federal program costs.
✈️ Headed to the United Kingdom? Here’s an important update before you go. 🇬🇧
If you’re traveling to the UK, there’s a new entry step you’ll want to take care of before departure.
U.S. travelers (and all international visitors) are now required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) prior to arrival.
Here’s what that means for you:
📝 What is the ETA? An advance travel authorization linked electronically to your passport.
💷 Cost: £16 (about $22 USD) per person — including babies and children.
📱 How to apply: • Use the official UK ETA app (Apple App Store or Google Play) or • Apply online: You’ll scan your passport, take a facial photo, enter an email address, and pay digitally (credit/debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay).
⏱️ Processing time: Most decisions arrive within a day via email.
🧳 How long it’s valid: • Good for multiple trips over two years (or until your passport expires) • Each visit can be up to six months
🛂 Good to know: • The ETA is not required if you’re only transiting through a UK airport and not passing through border control. • One person can submit ETA applications for others in the same travel party.
✨ Postcards Travel Concierge tip: This is one of those details that’s easy to miss. No one wants a surprise at the airport. If the UK is part of your travel plans, I’m happy to make sure you’re fully prepared before wheels up.

Anchorage, Alaska — Where the wild things roam… straight to 7-Eleven.
This guy was caught mid-snack at a 7-11 before casually strolling off like it was just another Wanderlust Wednesday. 😉
This is one of those “wait, did that really happen?” moments that make travel unforgettable. No itinerary could’ve predicted it — and that’s the magic.
🦌✈️ Sometimes the wildest stories come from the most unexpected detours.
Have you ever had a “did that seriously just happen?” moment while traveling? Drop it below!
I’ve officially leveled up — I’m now a Princess Cruises Commodore! 🧭👑
After completing the Princess Cruises Travel Advisor Training (yes, I studied very hard… with dreams of ocean breezes and poolside margaritas 🏝️), I’ve earned the top rank in their advisor program.
I’ve got you covered. Let’s chart a course for your next adventure — and yes, I promise to make it smooth sailing. 😄
