So.....yesterday's video is, relatively speaking, tanking in views at position 9 out of my last 10 uploads, and YT Studio is helpfully saying 'Less of your subscribers are watching this than usual'. Emma is officially offended at my failure to capture your attention and so I am coming to you my viewers for some feedback because clearly all the tools are useless as they told me you'd love this kind of video.
-
I've put a poll here to see what kind of videos you guys WOULD like to watch from me going forward to help me make sure I'm spending my time creating content that is going to help me keep building the channel. If you don't see an option you'd like feel free to add as a comment.
-
If you were simply too busy watching the World Cup that is an audience crossover I didn't know I had but please let me know and if you can take some time between matches to watch I'd appreciate it.

During the premiere on Sunday the channel reached 75,000 subscribers, which is blowing my mind because just 2 years ago I had just 5000. I have been grinding away at YT since 2017 and for a long time it seemed like the channel was going nowhere; I've come close to giving up on it a few times but now I'm really glad I didn't, even if it effectively means I am working 3 jobs (part-time day job, YT, parent). Being able to make videos on archaeology and have people actually watch and enjoy them means so much to me and just goes to show that if you put good content out there people will (eventually) find it. A big heartfelt thank you to everyone who was subscribed, commented, liked, shared, livechatted, and helped me sort out my audio issues. Here's to hitting 100K by the end of 2026!

We've covered unknown discoveries, lost cites and tonight we're exploring mysterious artefacts that archaeologists can't quite figure out! It's not for a lack of trying but sometimes we just don't have the answers. This is ok though cause it means we can keep digging to figure them out! Join me at the premiere at 7:30 PM BST or afterward in the Indy stream. Looking forward to hearing about how your weekends have been!
