A fellow sling enthusiast I've recently discovered, and one that's also taken the very unusual path that I took (immediately experimenting with long slings i.e. hyperslings and pirouette releases). To make it even more interesting, he has a background in athletics with discus and shot put, and already has a good pirouette with the sling. Very promising.
