It’s new comic day again! This week I’ll be covering Absolute Batman 17 which introduces the absolute Poison Ivy.

The next new Vertigo book, End of Life by Kyle Starks and Steve Pugh (the team behind Peacemaker Tries Hard), is also out today and there is a preview for it in Absolute Batman.

It’s a violent action comedy about an arrogant, self-centred hitman who unintentionally robs his own boss and has to go on the run.

I enjoyed it and will keep reading it, but I’m not sure if I’ll make a video about it. Let me know if you want to hear more about it. If the demand is there I’ll see what I can do.

I just got back from Gosh Comics’ Batman event where they were selling over 20,000 items from one person’s collection. This included books, magazines, trading cards, toys, statues, and, of course, a ton of comics.

Once again, it’s new comic book day, and I wanted to highlight two books this week.

Absolute Wonder Woman Annual 1 by Kelly Thompson and Matia De Iulis, where Diana seeks justice for Medusa.

Bleeding Hearts number 1 by Deniz Camp and Stipan Morian. This is the first new Vertigo comic from DC in a long time, and is about a zombie that finds himself slowly starting to come back to life.

After a quiet few weeks, four absolute comics are out today.

My videos will resume on Saturday, starting with Absolute Batman 16, the second team up between Wonder Woman and Batman.

Following that, I’ll talk about Absolute Wonder Woman 16 where Diana attends an exhibition of Amazonian artefacts.

Then I’ll talk about Absolute Martian Manhunter 8, where a mysterious agency comes to town in search of The Martian.

And finally, Absolute Flash 11, where Wally finds himself trapped in another dimension while Fort Fox is under-siege by Eobard Thawn.

Coming in April as part of DC’s Next Level initiative, a new Zatanna ongoing series by Jamal Campbell, and The Fury of Firestorm ongoing by Jeff Lemire and Rafael De Latorre.
