Zazu's Stitch Art--Why Shouldn't It Be Beautiful?....a channel devoted to sharing years of experience working with fabric. Unlock, explore, and express your creative impulses through sewing and quilting... The products shown are what I have found over the years and use.
ARTIST'S STATEMENT: I value directness and sincerity. Because much of the fiber work we do relies on premeditation, surface work appeals to me because we can bring the work nearer its potential when the impulse is still fresh. I’ve always seen the work in flashes and then pieced it. The work continues to be about connection. When I was younger I wanted the approval of others to pursue my own vision. These days I know it doesn't have to be that way. I think the key is in our breath and our inner dialogue as we create.

This is rather crude, but hope it helps you draft a pattern. The grid is one inch.

This is what Quilt a Nighttime Landscape, coming FREE to YouTube, is all about. I'm going to have them all uploaded by the end of the weekend. I've already placed videos through #10 in a YouTube PLAYLIST on my channel page called Quilt a Nighttime Landscape. (The individual videos will NOT all show up in your notifications here or on YT. I don't want to spam you all with 17 short videos.) The video descriptions preserve some of the text from the course website. Any downloads you want to keep will be available on my website until 7-1-22. Thanks!

For those who are interested, my first online course is now open for enrollment. In this course, we will work from a photo to design and quilt a body of water at night, beginning with how to collect quiltable views and ending with bindings, hanging sleeves, and any finishing embellishments. The course includes 16 new videos, more than 2.5 hours of new instruction. We will actually cover both a mini quilt (with a "wooden" frame) and a full-size version using the techniques of mature raw-edge applique. You can use your own photo, fabrics, colors, etc., if you prefer. To view the course on CourseCraft, click the link below. Use PROMO CODE [Expires 12-31-2020] to get 20% OFF: 3NIGHT2Y
