We opened our doors way back in 1902 to help people with difficulty finding employment or advancing their career reach their full potential. To this day, we’re proud to be a nonprofit that empowers individuals with access to training programs, career counseling, financial support services and much more at no cost to them.

Glory in Overcoming, made possible through a grant from Google.org, features workers who earned professional certifications from Goodwill Industries International (via Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee) and its career services, including its Google-funded Goodwill Digital Career Accelerator® (GDCA) program.
On a more human level, though, the documentary tells the inspirational stories of three single moms who turned to Goodwill of Middle Tennessee for help, gaining skills and credentials that helped them go from low-wage work in difficult circumstances to promising tech careers at Accenture and elsewhere. Accenture gained access to talented, credentialed employees amid a labor shortage, and the women were able to reverse their fortunes, better support their families, and embark on new career pathways. @WorkingNation_video #GloryInOvercoming
