I’m back! I promised I would let you all know where I popped up again, be it on this channel or somewhere else, so here’s the link to my new channel: www.youtube.com/channel/UCz0e... There are five videos currently up, so please give them a watch if they look fun to you!


For those who want some more context, I’ve been re-evaluating the work I’ve been doing over the last year or so and realized I haven’t been satisfied with the identity of this channel for a long time. I’ve pivoted and thrown shit at the wall while trying to keep in touch with what I thought was expected of me to mixed results so many times that this channel’s back catalogue feels like a mess to me, and every new video was a very stressful and confusing endeavor. So, after recovering from the burn out of this process, I asked myself what I wanted to do going forward, with no preconceived expectations.

My answer was creating shorter, more authentic videos with a much larger focus on comedy and personality than analysis. Authentic is the key word there. I want to make videos that feel like an unhinged friend screaming about their new hyper fixation in your ear. While that may not sound entirely different from what I’ve done here, I feel like the videos I’ve made and am making are different enough in style and tone to feel like a complete rebranding if I were to post them here, which is why I decided to start fresh. This also gives me the chance to be consistent in my delivery right out the gate, without creating any more confusion for the many different audiences I’ve drawn into this channel.

This channel isn’t going anywhere, and if I get the desire to, I’ll post something here again, but for now I want to focus my efforts on this new channel. If you all have any suggestions, questions, concerns, etc. please let me know in the comments, via email, twitter, patreon, whatever works best for you. I re-read my post a few months ago to remind myself of what I said before writing this one, and dog, you were all way too kind to me in the comments of that post. Hey everyone, I’d like to announce that I’m going to be taking a step back from uploading consistently. I feel like this channel has been causing too much stress and eating up too much time for a while now. Instead of just pushing through it because I feel like that’s what I’m supposed to do, I’m going to listen to the signals my brain is sending me and just let it go.



I’ll be taking this time to pursue other interests, spend more time with loved ones, and work on other projects, some still related to YouTube. Because despite feeling exhausted, I still enjoy making videos. Even on days where I’d rather eat a skunk than open Premiere, I find myself getting excited over ambitious ideas I could never see through with my current schedule. I don’t know what I’ll be working on, but wherever I pop up next, whether it's on this channel or somewhere else, I’ll be sure to let you all know.



Also, I’d like to indefinitely pause the Patreon because I’d rather not get paid for all the days I’ll be doing other things lol. The thing is I can only pause it for a month at a time and I think closing it will erase all the stuff I put up there so I’m not sure what to do. If anyone has any suggestions let me know. I paused it for now so everyone with access can still view the stuff I uploaded there, but if you can’t or have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me through email, twitter, patreon, etc. and I’ll make it right with you. Lastly, I need to thank all of you for being such an incredible audience. Seeing people get excited about, laugh at, or sometimes even cry because of something I made is such a gift. Also, I still can’t believe I see names in the comments I recognize from three, four, even five years ago.



I actually have a folder where I save comments from you all that are really kind, funny, or helpful. I like looking at them when I need a pick me up. I just checked, there are 267 in there and it’s been well over a year since I last updated it. I have a lot of catching up to do, but even if I didn’t that’s still a stupid huge number. It means a lot to me, and I figured I should share that with you all.



I appreciate you all for being a part of this big dango family we built together (if you don’t get that, go watch Clannad. I’m not asking). I’ll see you all next time.

If I were to start making Patreon exclusive videos, what kind of videos would you like to see from me? I have a handful of ideas like tier lists, reviews, behind the scenes stuff, viewer hot takes, reactions, etc. etc.

Basically I want to add more value to the Patreon and I think this would be a good way to do it if I can naturally integrate it into my workflow. I was wondering what you guys would like the most but then realized I could just ask lol. Please let me know your thoughts, or even if there are other rewards you'd rather have! I'm open to ideas

Hey everyone, here’s another update! Since I was working ahead to prepare myself for moving a couple weeks ago, I have a lot of stuff coming down the pipeline

The next two videos are video game related, one about one of my favorite franchises halo, and another about a franchise that I’ve had a pretty goofy history with: final fantasy. I know these game videos might be jarring or not interesting to many of you, and going forward I’d like to find some kind of balance between what I’d like to make and what you all want to watch. But since these were worked on so far in advance, they have to come first. Im very proud of them too

I’m sure at some point I’ll need to address the one piece live action so that’s in there too

Then from there I have some new ideas for anime related videos that I’m very excited about. I think I’ve finally seen enough shows to talk about anime in a broad sense, covering multiple shows under one topic. There are a lot of aspects of this medium that I find super interesting that often go unexplored, so I’d like to give this a try

Since that’s a lot of info, I’ve taken the liberty of drawing out a helpful map via my phone that you can tell I put a great deal of effort into (also I don’t know when I’d be doing the one piece live action video since I haven’t seen the show yet, so it could be before or after I start the anime stuff… or never idk I’ve never planned to make a video for something I’ve never seen before before)
