Heyyyy I am working on this week’s video and I just wanted to give yall a heads up that I caught myself in 4K falling for THE MOST OBVIOUSLY FAKE DRAMA ON GOODREADS 😃😃
While I was recording I looked up the reviews for the book and the top review is what is labeled as “official transcripts” between the author and Lois Lowry that for a solid 10 minutes I thought was real.
I’m including it in the video for giggles but yes I know it was stupid but at least I figured it out in the end 😭😭
Last year I reviewed the first book in this series and needless to say…I didn’t like it 😬
BUT I decided to read the sequel to see if it got any better. And I’m happy to report that this book is a DRAMATIC improvement from Blood at the Root.
I broke down all of my initial concerns and how they were addressed in this book. I’m sure some people will not like this review but hopefully we’re ready to have a nuanced conversation 😭😭
