Police was Founded in 2012 by Fred Gien, former A&R from Citizen records for ten years beside Vitalic & previously A&R from the loyal club L'AN-FER in Dijon, that hosted all the electronic pioneers.

Fondé en 2012 par Fred Gien, ancien co-programmateur de l'AN-FER puis A&R de Citizen records au côté de Vitalic, en trois ans le label en est déjà à sa quarantième sortie, un rythme effréné, presque épileptique, un peu à l'image du crew, toujours créatif et en ébullition, entre une colonne vertébrale plutôt orientée vers des esthétiques electro & techno
