On January 28th, 1986 STS-51L operated by the Space Shuttle Challenger, exploded 73 seconds after launching from Pad 39B at the Kennedy Space Center. Despite engineers from Morton Thiokol (The company that engineered the solid rocket boosters) expressing concerns about the cold temperatures on lanch day, and how the cold temperatures could cause the O-Rings to erode completely and possibly cause them to fail. Morton Thiokol, and NASA management decided to go ahead with the launch anyway. Despite being told about the risks and a possible failure. It was as cold as 18 degrees fahrenheit when the Challenger was launched, despite the engineers from Morton Thiokol recommending to not launch below 53 degrees fahrenheit. It is widely believed that the 7 astronoughts from challenger survived the initial explosion, but then died when the crew cabin hit the water. The result of this incident halted the space shuttle program for almost 3 years, until STS-26, when Space Shuttle Discovery launched on September 29, 1988.
Yesterday marked the 39th Anniversary of the Challenger explosion. One of the most heartbreaking tragedys in American History.

Happy New Year everyone, here’s to an amazing 2025. I have big plans, as I am finishing the editing portion for the script for the Tsushima Maru video, and I have started research and writing for the second video.
The Tsushima Maru video has already been a 6 month project and I am gonna be so excited to share it with all of you when it’s finished. Hopefully the second vid won’t take as long. And more projects are planned for the future

Hello everyone
I had to reupload the Tsushima Maru teaser due to some spelling errors. The revision is being re-edited, I apologise for the mistake.
