The mentality, the culture of an Idoma man, died the day I came into the Kingdom.

Where I come from, men literally dominate and make women almost like slaves to them. But when I came into the Kingdom, I realised that we are joint heirs with Christ.

So, my wife is not my slave. My wife is my partner in destiny.

I am her head, but she and I are co-heirs in Christ. So, I treat her with respect and honour. The things she can do for me, she does for me. And the things she cannot do for herself, which I can do without being asked or demanding anything in return, I do for her.

STOP WASTING YOUR LIFE ON THINGS THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH WHY YOU WERE BORN.

There is an assignment connected to your life. You were not created simply to exist, make money, raise a family and leave the earth. There is something God wants your life to accomplish, and until you discover it, you may keep giving your strength to things that do not deserve it.

Purpose brings direction. It tells you what to pursue, what to refuse and what deserves your attention. A person who knows why he was born does not allow every opportunity to become his assignment.

But discovering purpose is not enough.

YOU MUST GROW INTO THE CAPACITY REQUIRED TO CARRY IT.

There are dimensions of your future that demand a stronger version of you. Increase requires preparation. Responsibility comes before authority. Sometimes God allows you to remain in a season longer because He is working on your character, wisdom, discipline and understanding.

Do not mistake preparation for punishment.

The question is not only, “When will my increase come?” Ask yourself, “Am I ready to carry what I am asking God to give me?”

Then there is another matter you cannot ignore: people.

Some of the answers you have been praying for may come through relationships. God can place a mentor, friend, partner, teacher or even a challenger in your path who carries something your journey requires. People can bring wisdom, correction, access, encouragement and opportunities.

This is why you must learn to recognise people correctly. Not every relationship has the same assignment. Some are for a season. Some are for a purpose. Some are connected to your destiny and must be handled with honour, discernment and commitment.

KNOW YOUR PURPOSE.
PREPARE FOR YOUR ENLARGEMENT.
DISCERN YOUR PEOPLE.

Your life becomes clearer when these three things come together.

Do not spend another season guessing.

How do you receive?

You receive from God through faith. You receive from men through honour and gratitude. You receive from your spirit through meditation. If you understand these principles, you will know how to position yourself for what God wants to bring into your life.

Faith is your response to what God has spoken. Hebrews 11:6 says, “He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” You cannot receive from God while constantly doubting His Word.

Honour is also a key to receiving from people. Learn to value those God has placed around you. Do not take people for granted because sometimes what you are praying for is connected to a relationship you have failed to honour.

Gratitude keeps your heart open. When you appreciate what people have done for you, you create room for healthy relationships. Learn to say thank you. Never become too familiar to recognise the value of those who have helped you.

Your spirit also receives through meditation. Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night.” What you repeatedly think upon begins to shape your inner life.

Meditation is more than reading the Word quickly and moving on. Stay with the Word. Think about it. Speak it to yourself. Allow it to enter your heart until it becomes part of how you see life.

Many people want to receive, but they have not learnt how to position themselves. Faith, honour, gratitude and meditation are not religious routines. They are principles that help you respond correctly to God, people and your own spirit.

Ask yourself today, “How am I receiving?” Believe God. Honour people. Give thanks. Meditate on the Word. As you position yourself correctly, you will become more sensitive to what God is bringing into your life.
