Taking full advantage of this glorious spring sunshine to get outside and paint. The everlastings are POPPING in Kings Park and my camera roll is packed with inspiration.
It was also the first adventure for this portable watercolor palette from Fuumuui Art and I'm in love. It’s so quick to set up and it will now live my car for spontaneous painting sessions.
There is truly nothing like taking 20 minutes (or 2 hours) to slow down, breathe in the fresh air and paint outdoors.
Are the spring flowers blooming where you are yet? Tell me the spots!
Taking the pressure off creativity 🌞 This past week I've been enjoying the Plein Air Down Under festival. It was so much fun painting outside, but even more refreshing to chat with other creatives about their process.
What struck me most was how many people weren’t aiming for a perfect painting at all. They were simply enjoying the act of creating, letting the outcome be just one small part of the journey.
A gentle reminder I’ll be holding onto: create for the joy of it, not the result.

PS no video coming on this, I was just taking the time to reconnect ❤️
You don’t need much to paint outdoors — but this little upgrade made it so much better. Team fanny packs for life ✨ My gentle start to the week, has kept my cup full for a busy start to June.
~ pause ~ Drawing helps me be present in a moment, I find that drawing something helps me better understand it and see that beauty really is in the random details.
Feeling like life is just rushing by, pause and draw something.
