🇧🇬 - Best of the three songs but I feel it wasn't a high bar. Honestly, I was hoping and expecting more from Bulgaria considering how good they used to be at Eurovision. It's not bad by any means and there are definitely elements that I do quite like and I feel like it could grow on me but for now I don't love it.
🇫🇮 - WINNER!! Honestly thank you Finland! This might be your year to win. Amazing song and great performance that will hopefully be even better at Eurovision. It breaking the record for most televote points at UMK I feel says a lot.
🇷🇸 - Another song where I'm not sure how I feel about it. It takes quite a bit for me to like a rock song and I don't think this quite does it for me. The long scream is impressive at least.
🇩🇪 - It's just another girl bop ain't it, not bad by any means but nothing that special imo. It's decent and it could grow on me more but I do have a hard time getting past the poor lyrical work.
🇳🇴 - I think I was the only person that liked Rybak's song so I will say that I would have preferred him to win over this. This song is so painfully average, I would be shocked if it managed to make it to the final. It's fine, Mileo was robbed tho!
🇮🇹 - I feel like this is the first year where there was no songs in Sanremo that I loved but this one was the best imo, its just fun and Sal really performs it well so hopefully he goes to Eurovision. Good result from Italy!

Thoughts on the result of Lithuania's National Final:
🇱🇹 - Once again my favourite of a nf comes 2nd place, you couldnt write it, my luck this year is awful. Yeah this song is not good imo, Lion sells it well but its a no from me. This year is getting weak guys, the countries tomorrow need to pull through.
Tomorrow is a big night for Eurovision, especially considering one country in particular may hold the fate of Eurovision in their hands (looking at you Finland, don't mess up).

🇭🇷 - Wasn't my favourite going into Dora and still isn't (Tama was robbed, 3rd to last is undeserved) but its still a solid entry. Fairly obvious that they would win, I prefer their song from last year by quite a distance as well i feel. Solid, just don't massively connect with it (could be a grower for me).
🇬🇷 - Do I fully understand the hype behind this? Nope. Do I like it? I think so. This is a strange one for me, I'm seeing a lot of people thinking this could win Eurovision and I really don't see how but its catchy, he has a good voice and Ferto definitely gets stuck in your head whether you want it to or not.

🇩🇰 - Probably the only good result of tonight. Infinity was my favourite song but Søren definitely had the best performance of the night and thoroughly deserved the win. Good song and I'm interested to see how this does at the contest!
🇱🇻 - This is the 2nd year in the row where Latvia will end up low in my rankings when there was a song that could have been right towards the top of my ranking. Kautkaili would have easily been my winner (for now) but yet another song won. In terms of the song that did win, I literally have nothing to say, I guess it decent but its quite boring. Not sure it will do well at Eurovision but I guess the juries might like it!

🇺🇦 - Since the Vidbir songs released I have been confused as to why this song is so popular and I am still confused. As someone who loves slow songs I just find this boring and uneventful. She is great vocally but apart from that there is nothing for me here. Molodi was my favourite and still is my favourite song but that performance was disappointing so I'm not surprised that they didnt do that well. LAUD was my 2nd favourite going into the show and deserved the good result for sure, quite frankly should have won!

🇦🇱 - Wow! Easily one of my favourite Albanian entries ever! Really good winner of FIK!
🇲🇪 - Not my favourite from Montesong, would have preferred a Temperatura or Dominos win but this is decent as well! Wouldn't be surprised to see this get Montenegro out of the semis!

Statement on the EBU and plans for Eurovision 2026 following last week's EBU General Assembly:
Sorry it took so long for me to get around to this but ive been really busy with work since it happened and haven't gotten around to it.
First of all I just wanted to say that I am really disappointed by the result of the assembly and that the EBU are prioritising Israel over multiple other countries and still allowing them to blatantly bend the rules of the competition.
The fact that the EBU continues to ignore what Israel is doing is disgusting and I'm glad that some broadcasters have had the backbone to stand up to it and leave the contest until it changes.
In terms of what I plan to do for Eurovision 2026, I am going to continue to cover the National Finals and continue to post rankings for as many of them as I can but for videos directly about Eurovision 2026 will either not make any or I will exclude Israel from them, I'm still not 100% sure which way I will do things but thats the plan.
I have a lot of videos planned that I really want to do so those wont be affected, I love making videos and I don't want to stop that. I just hope that the contest goes back to something great, because its at a real risk of dying soon!

I did this for Eurovision 2025 and I thought i would do it again for this year as I liked doing it.
