I've been inspired by the talented, knowledgeable, and just wonderful people who've been feeding me with great content about the toys, shows, books, comics, films, and music I grew up with. This was super helpful during the pandemic, and it got me to open up and meet others who got geeky and passionate about the same cultural touchstones. So I figure it's time to try my hand at generating cool content and contributing to the different communities I've come to love. So welcome to Brick Something, where we'll get get down and dirty talking about stuff that brings me joy, makes me think, and keeps my creative wheels spinning. This Saturday, May 2 is the fourth annual WEST COAST MYTHIC MEETUP in the Sacramento, CA area. I'll be there as a co-organizer of the event and as the Spero Toys rep selling and exhibiting ANIMAL WARRIORS OF THE KINGDOM figures, and am looking forward to checking out great FOUR HORSEMEN toys at the 4H and GEEKOLOGY tables, new prints by NATE BAERTSCH, parts, props, and dios by the likes of J's ARMORY, IMAGINARY ACTION STUDIOS, and MECHBAY, customs by HE-MIKE, ANGEL NOLASCO, and ERIK LOPEZ, and seeing the latest prototypes from the upcoming indie toy, RISE OF THE FIFTH SUN. This tiny show will be absolutely packed.
