Breast cancer does not affect all women the same way.
Research shows that Black women are more likely to be diagnosed at later stages and may experience more aggressive subtypes. Differences in symptom recognition, access to screening, and tumor biology can contribute to this disparity.
Knowing how breast changes may appear on darker skin and seeking evaluation early can improve outcomes.
