I began KrissBeauty on Facebook in late 2017 with the intentions of finally committing to something I truly love. Iβve had a true obsession with art since I was 4 years old and I began sneaking on Makeup at 12 years old. Makeup has always had a way of bringing me back to a place of Purpose and Love. For me, it has never masked who I was but instead enhanced who Iβve always dreamed of becoming. Kriss, not Christina, is the confident fierce plus-sized Beauty Lover that helps bring the BOSS out of women, no matter whoβs watching. KrissBeauty is about embracing flaws, uplifting and staying true to who we are. This journey has finally moved to Youtube and I'm I'm so beyond honored for all of the Amazing Support! Never a bad day when it starts with french toast ππ§‘

**Late start today but I'm moving. Working at my own pace & doing things with LOTS of patience instead of aiming to meet expectations seems to be a recurring theme for me lately.
~ As the year comes to an end & I creep closer to turning 27 in February, I'm learning to let things fall into place while still setting goals for myself, not allowing the criticism or expectations from my peers, society & MYSELF make me feel flustered or rushed - & most importantly: not resenting those that pass judgement.
ββI'M GUILTY of getting caught up in the constant comparison of productivity & success, ESPECIALLY in people our own age or even worse - younger than us. & it leaves us feeling not good enough & wayyyy behind EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
π‘One of my favorite things that snaps me back into reality is remembering how beautiful yet DIFFERENT sunsets, Christmas lights and flowers are. They all bring a sense of joy, calmness & love - yet NO ONE compares them because they serve a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PURPOSE.
..... People carry TRAUMA.
Different experiences that have molded their current perspective & opinions. But we have to remember that though everyone's thoughts & feelings are valid & very much REAL, they don't necessarily serve us in our journey. We don't need to carry that around. & We especially don't need to prove ANYTHING.
It's TOO EASY to present a guard to protect ourselves after being picked apart. But lately, I've been trying to actually let those people in a little more.
VERY scary, I know π¬
But it's something about knowing that someone has had a bad experience or limited view on something that makes me want to show them different. NOT prove a damn thing, but shine light on a new side of things.
