I've been enjoying writing again, in my new Do Things. Go Places. travel newsletter.. A different adventure every month, from a very personal perspective. I am at a moment of stillness in regards to travel. I am on a self imposed step back (at least for a few months), on any international travel. I crave it, and miss it.. It's like a piece of me is missing.. This has been a balm to sooth that wound (for now).
The third part of my Camino de Santiago, from Portugal is dropping in 3..2..1.. Combarro was my favorite town we walked through. Some have dubbed it the most beautiful town in Galicia.
Something new.. Welcome to the world of Do Things. Go Places. Monthly travel inspiration to your inbox.
You will learn about places to stay, things to see, read my personal travel anecdotes and most importantly, get a peek into more of the world. This is a very personal take on travel, all experiences are my own. All this has been paid for and researched by myself.. for myself… and to share with you.. Because why not?
Fell in love with Oia (Spain). Second part of my Camino de Santiago pilgrimage is up! This takes us from Portugal and through the start of Spain to Baiona.
After months of life out of my control.. Feeling tired to my core.. I am finally still for a little while, edited a bit and ready to start sharing my Camino de Santiago experience (Portuguese, Littoral & Spiritual Way). Stay tuned for part 1.. ETA.. 15 minutes?
Thinking back to attempting to solo travel through Mexico for a month during the tail end of hurricane season.. and lasting a week! I felt like such a failure.. It's been fun to look back through the footage and photos I took during that time. This was around two years ago and in a funny way, I am back in the same position (jobless by choice, pushing for a change in my life and for something new).
I'm in the middle of job hunting, editing my Camino de Santiago video (I actually talk in this one and will do a full break down of the whole trip!) and needed another creative outlet to blow off steam... I am re-launching my website and going into re-design mode.. Turning it into more of a personal branding website. Job hunting is hard and showing all faucets of yourself in a resume can be tricky.
What was your first website like? Do you have a "personal branding website?"
Where in the world am I now? After a quick 16 hour (Roundtrip) adventure to Ottawa and back in one day.. I’m back in BC. Winding down my life here and onto.. Something new coming.
Sometimes you can only plan so much and life changes when you least expect it. My next adventure in life outside of Vancouver was supposed to be this month, after months of planning, but now it is time to sit back and allow life to unfold as it may.. It’s out of my control now.
I’ll be enjoying my second “mini retirement” for this short period of beautiful weather in BC.. and enjoy whatever happens next in my life.
Thank you to Bali in Vancouver, BC for this photo!
As we go into the spring season in Vancouver, I think back to our lovely winter in Dubai. I feel insanely lucky we have had the ability to experience it over the last few years.
As of now, who knows what the future holds for next winter!

The Camino journey is coming to an end, in the fourth and final video.
Thank you for following along.
Buen Camino!
(This was the boat we took on the Maritime Way of the Spiritual variant, that took us to Padron and the finally steps towards Santiago)

It's been fun to get back to writing. I recently learned my late grandfather was a journalist, and writing runs in the paternal side of my family.
