Packing just a Fire TV Stick and controller to play Xbox games on vacation is pretty awesome. In my 3 weeks of streaming Game Pass (across several WiFi networks), it’s worked really well (no noticeable input lag) about 85% of the time, decently enough 10% of the time, and really poorly 5% of the time. At home it has worked nearly flawlessly besides a few brief slowdowns here and there.

I wouldn’t recommend exclusively using a Fire TV Stick to game, but if you own an Xbox and want to use it on vacation or don’t own an Xbox and want to try out Game Pass, I’d absolutely recommend it. Check out my tutorial on how to if you're interested:
