The public offering of Select Technologies Limited was oversubscribed 1.73 times, with investors applying for 38.43 million shares against the 22.22 million shares offered, according to tentative subscription figures submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The IPO, which remained open for public subscription on July 2 and 3, received 12,186 applications for shares worth Rs. 1.31 billion, reflecting strong retail investor interest in the consumer electronics manufacturer.

According to the subscription summary, applications for 500, 1,000, 1,500, and 2,000 shares will receive full allotment.

Investors who applied for more than 2,000 shares will receive shares on a pro rata basis due to excess demand.

آپ اپنی جاب کرتے ہیں یا کاروبار ۔۔۔

Alhamdulillah, nominated in the Economic and Fiscal Laws Committee (EFLC) of the ‪@icappakistan‬ .
Here is some informative points:
EFLC is a technical committee that advises the government, regulators, and industry on economic, tax, and corporate law matters. It operates under the ICAP Council.
Purpose:
•Strengthening Tax Culture: Promote a strong tax culture in Pakistan to support sustainable economic growth.
•Policy Formulation: Advise the government (e.g., FBR, Ministry of Finance) on budgets and propose amendments to tax laws.
•Advocacy & Reform: Identify areas for reform, broaden the tax base, remove ambiguities, and suggest measures to reduce tax evasion.
Role & Functions:
•Budget Recommendations: Prepare and submit budget proposals to relevant authorities.
•Review of Legislation: Analyze and provide feedback on financial bills, corporate regulations, and economic policies.
•Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise between the ICAP Council, members, business community, and regulators.
•Professional Guidance: Help members understand tax, fiscal, and economic laws.
•Conferences & Seminars: Organize post-budget events to discuss economic outlook, tax impact, and regulatory changes.
Terms of Reference (TORs):
• Review economic and fiscal laws and recommend improvements to FBR and relevant government bodies.
• Participate in pre-budget and post-budget discussions.
• Suggest improvements in tax administration to facilitate taxpayers.
• Provide recommendations to enhance documentation of the economy.
The committee is currently chaired by Mr. Zeeshan Ijazz FCA. (Partner Tax- KPMG, and ICAP Council Member).
