The 2026 CAL Project We're Doing Together!
This year we are playing with different Crochet Hexagon Shapes. Throughout the year we will make projects using that months featured Hexagon and then at the end of the year the plan is to make a blanket using every hexagon shape we played with as a fun sampler hexagon project of sorts. It will be really pretty!
So, if you are looking through my channel this year and wondering what's going on, the plan is to embrace 3 concepts: Slow-Down, Simplify, and Build a Foundation.
At the end of 2026 we will have built something truly special together. I hope you join in and have fun!
Let me know if there's a specific Crochet Hexagon Shape you would like to throw in the mix or if there is a Hexagon Project Type you've been wanting to make.

If you’re learning to crochet and it still feels awkward or slow - that’s normal. Confidence doesn’t show up first. It grows as you keep stitching.
If you’re a beginner, tell me:
👉 What part of crochet feels the least confident for you right now?

New video is live 🎉
Solid Closed Crochet Hexagon Tutorial
This kicks off a new series where we really break techniques down — not just how to crochet them, but why they work and how to troubleshoot when things go sideways.
In this video we talk about:
• Proper stitch placement
• Why hexagons curl or ripple
• How to keep your shape clean and consistent
If you’re following along with the series, I’d love to know:
👉 Have hexagons been easy for you… or a little rage-inducing? 😅

What was it about a crochet hook that made you think, “nope, not this one.” ? We often list things to look for in a crochet hook but what about the cautionary tale? This should be very insightful. 😳😮🫢🤔.

I dropped Video 1 of my new Absolute Beginner Crochet Series this weekend! 🧶
This series is starting from square one—organized, beginner-focused, and fluff-free. If a topic only needs a few minutes, that’s all it gets.
Video 1 covers the basic tools you need to start crocheting, especially if you’ve never held a hook before. We’ll go deeper into each tool later in the series so you can find what works best for you.
Let me know—what would you love to see included to help absolute beginners feel more confident and enjoy crochet?

Hey Guys!
I've got the numbers for the Soap Sack Campaign we launched in December!
Well, I've got all the numbers I was able to capture. I'm sure there were more that weren't documented which happens when we are responsible for sharing what we did...
12 - to Food Pantry in Denton
55 - to Lynn Ministries + Teen & Adult Challenge Program
12 - to Sidewalk Samaritan New York, NY
42 - to St. Edward's Helping Hands Food Pantry
15 - to Spartan Food Pantry, Food bank for the students of
San Jose State University.
I thought it was so cool that someone donated to a University Student Food Bank. Not something you instantly think about when you think food bank but so incredibly important.
Thank you everyone for participating in this Soap Sack Charity Campaign and helping to make the world a better place!
This year we will be engaging in multiple charity campaign opportunities so make sure you are subscribed so you see the notifications when I share what's going on. AND share this with a friend you know who crochets or knits and is interested in crocheting/knitting for charity. 🤗🧶💖

Crochet doesn’t click all at once.
Your hands feel clumsy.
Your tension feels weird.
You second-guess every stitch.
That’s not failure — that’s learning.
If you’re in this stage right now, you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be 💛
