A couple of weeks have passed, but we're still talking about Strayos Week 2026.

This year, we kicked things off with two 48-hour hackathons, bringing together teams from across the company to tackle real-world challenges and turn bold ideas into working prototypes.

Some of the concepts we explored included:
1. AI Sales Agent – An AI-powered assistant designed to engage website visitors, answer technical questions, qualify leads, and book demos 24/7.
2. Pit-to-Plant AI Command Agent – A concept for connecting blast performance, haulage, crusher feed, and plant data into a single AI-powered command layer that helps operators understand what's happening from pit to plant and recommends next actions.
3. Sim Strayos – An interactive quarry blasting simulation game where players design a blast, detonate it, and score points based on fragmentation quality, efficiency, safety, and overall blast performance. A fun way to experience the science behind drill and blast while showcasing what Strayos helps optimize every day.

Once the hackathons wrapped up, it was time to celebrate. Throughout the week we explored local attractions, shared great meals, enjoyed friendly competition, and made memories together outside the office.
Weeks like these remind us that innovation doesn't happen in isolation—it happens when talented people collaborate, challenge each other, and have fun along the way.

Quarry operations do not pause when key engineers are away from site.

The real challenge is not distance. It is staying connected to what is happening in the field: whether holes were drilled to design, whether elevations match the plan, whether rock conditions changed, and whether the blast is still aligned with safety and compliance expectations.


Strayos brings remote quarry oversight into one connected workflow.

Autonomous drone data updates the digital twin. Smart drill integrations bring in actual drilled-hole data. AI hole detection compares field execution against the blast design. MWD data adds rock hardness and drilling condition context. Engineers can then review the evidence remotely and make informed decisions before issues become operational delays.

Autonomy should not replace engineering judgment. It should give engineers better evidence, faster.
