This is important phenomenology data from the Temple that i think strengthens my gain knob concept for pareidolia. Right now we are trying to give a definition to something "undefined", this is their definition so take that as it is.
EDIT: You might have to view it on your phone, looks like youtube cuts off the full image on desktop computers.
I should also mention that when you smoke DMT, it turns up this pareidolia "gain knob", what doesnt make sense to me is why if you turn it up all the way with DMT it starts animating objects. I would see ikea lamps "tipping its hat" to me and all the objects in my basement would come alive and start moving around like Toy Story. I was like Sid in the Toy Story scene where they scare him. This phenomenon started happening during my 2013 "episode" so i got a lot of experience with it.
Something tells me this is an extremely important detail.
It appears like visual pareidolia and mental pareidolia are directly linked, like turning up a gain knob, when you notice high levels of face pareidolia, then your patternicity is also increased. This is what my Pattern Amplification Hypothesis video was pointing to. In the video I even shared a quote from someone studying at York University for psychology who noticed the same link with his diagnosed schizophrenia.
It appears this hasn't been articulated in neuroscience (as far as im aware at least), so it might be worth writing a paper on it (havent done that so im not sure where i would start).
All of my creativity is driven by this gain knob increase. To get the most out of it you need to balance instinct versus structure. So let it run, and then interrogate the connections, figure out what is garbage/noise and what is a novel generation. Its a balancing act which apparently is called "the edge of chaos".
Its essentially running pareidolia then debugging, cleaning up the code.
So yeah im pretty strange but its because my pattern recognition and meaning making machinery is going into overdrive and I see a lot of patterns clicking.
Our world is rapidly increasing in chaos and complexity (ai, the internet, etc) and im noticing that this is causing more stress to be felt in all of society. If the stress keeps increasing, more people are going to be pushed into the headspace im experiencing. And i see that, people are getting spiritual, going "crazy" etc. This is what stress does. Im sure you notice it happening around your community as well.
Whats the end result for society? Is a "deus ex machina" coming to restore order or are we all just going to fizzle out into entropic heat death?
I dont have the answers nor am I certain of anything. All I can say is im experiencing something and I dont exactly know what to make of it.
I hope people can understand where im coming from.
