There will not be a camper update video this week. I did finish putting the roof on and I started making the door, but there really wasn't much to make an entire video about. It was a busy week and I didn't get much time to work on the camper. There should be a complete update video (number 4) next Sunday.

If you're building a new trailer, or just wanting to add a tongue box to your existing trailer, the Harbor Freight tongue box is now on sale again. And it's an even better deal than last time. I paid $104 last month for this box and it's now on sale for $89. (normally $119) It's a decent box.... the metal is a bit thin.... but overall it's a decent box.

The camper build has begun! First, I did a bunch of upgrades to the Harbor Freight trailer itself. (notice it doesn't have the stock fenders, wheels or tires in these pictures) And now the construction of the camper is underway. The finished size will be 10' long, 7' wide, by 8' tall. This will be a removable camper. What you're seeing in these pictures is the floor panel that will have the camper built on top of it. You're actually looking at the bottom of the floor panel. Meaning... what you see now will actually be sitting on the wood floor of the trailer. I will flip it over once I water seal the wood, then I can finish insulating and then put the actual decking on. Once this floor panel is finished, I will start building the walls. I want to have a video about this camper project ready for this coming Sunday. Fingers crossed. No promises. lol.

I've been through 3 different breakaway switches in ZERO miles on a brand new trailer. The trailer has never left the shop yet. 3 switches! Is anyone else sick of the inferior parts available in the world these days? #1 was a cheap switch from Amazon. Chinese no-name. I should've known better. #2 was a Hopkins brand (with built-in LED indicator) that I bought at a local store. Neither one of these lasted their initial test before they stopped working internally. I would get them installed and then pull the plunger to test the switch and they both failed immediately. The third one is a Tekonsha switch purchased from a local trailer parts supplier. It SEEMS to be a tad bit higher quality. At least it made it through testing. lol. Anyone else have problems with cheap breakaway switches failing immediately?

This is a follow up picture from a post I made about 3 weeks ago. This is now the finished part. I made four of these. They are for the new Harbor Freight modular trailer that I recently bought. I am planning to use this new trailer as the base for a new DIY camper build. These are for that project.... A video about this accessory will be out on Sunday morning March 30th. Next Sunday's video will be about an extended run-time fuel pump for your portable inverter generator. It's pretty cool. Stay tuned. Thank you.

What is it? It's not 100% finished yet.... I'm still waiting for different bolts, (they have been ordered) and I still need to put a few welds on it, but this is basically what it will look like when it's finished. What have I built here? Hint: It's the first accessory that I have designed and built for the new Harbor Freight trailer that I recently purchased. You saw it here, first. Video to follow within the next several days. Today marks 18 years on YouTube for me! Believe it or not, I actually remember crating this channel. It wasn't used very much at first but I would occasionally upload aviation and auto racing videos from time to time. I know I haven't put many videos up lately but I do have plans for videos to come in the near future. Stay tuned!
