🎨 I spent the afternoon playing with a color palette from The Color Cube withblue and peach vibes—and tried something different this time: a bigger brush.

Switching out my usual oval wash brush totally changed the feel of the painting. I leaned into layered, loose concentric circles and let the process stay light and playful.

Finished up with some intuitive mark-making to bring in texture and energy. Love how the brush shift sparked something new in the work!

Muted magic in the journal today ✨

I grabbed brown + red violet deep from my Blick Matte Acrylic stash and let them dance together across my Dina Wakley Ledger journal. With just black and white added in, I created this gorgeously moody custom palette that makes my color-loving heart happy.

On the left, I swatched and blended, letting the paint lead the way. On the right, I got wild — stencils, marks, textures, and a whole lot of intuitive freedom.

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with creating in grids—it’s like solving a puzzle with color, texture, and emotion. In this new 2-piece abstract set, I played with Masha’s handmade watercolors, bold colors from the Color Cube, and some scribbly mark-making (plus a few gold stencil moments I’m loving ✨).

I spent the afternoon slowing way down and letting this abstract grid series unfold one square at a time. ✨

Graphite marks first, then layers of watercolor, and finally those tiny hits of gold that always feel like a quiet celebration at the end.

This 12-piece grid came together through intuition, texture, and play. No overthinking. Just listening to the page and responding with color and mark-making. I love how grids give structure while still leaving so much room for freedom.

If you love watercolor, mixed media, or abstract grids, this one was pure joy to create. I shared the full process from start to finish, including all the messy middle moments that make abstract art so satisfying.

I got completely hooked on these Joggles Itty Bitty stencils—so much that I had to dive back in for round two! This time, I mixed Masha’s handmade watercolors, rich golds, and Blick acrylics to create a 12-piece mini abstract sampler. It’s all about earthy tones, metallic shimmer, and playful texture.
